First, the salute to my MacBook. Now on its third battery, which isn't holding power but which allows me to operate while plugged in, with no touch pad, screen, or keyboard function, my MacBook still is functioning with peripheral devices. It was ordered when the first MacBooks were released several years ago, actually just two weeks after the release. So, cheers to the old!

Now the iPhoto question. At times iPhoto on my iMac is very slow, as in slow to get to the Edit function for a particular shot, or slow to go back. Other times not. Usually only internet connection is also on when I'm using iPhoto. Sometimes the program just freezes. And sometimes, particularly if I have to wait for the program or if it crashes, the most-recently downloaded photos do not appear in proper order. I am able to go to the library and edit the photos, and they will appear in order there. Also, sometimes if I try to select a group of photos to delete, I end up with more photos selected. I always have to check on this to avoid deleting photos I don't want to delete. This is critical when I'm editing directly out of the library mode instead of out of the Last Roll or out of an album.

Only clue I have to offer is that I'm using an ergonomic Microsoft keyboard and a Kensington large-ball mouse, although they appear to function properly with all other applications.

Ideas, anyone? Thanks in advance.
