Nothing else is used but colors and reminders.
Entering a new task is as simple as a downward swipe. Recurring tasks can be Weekly (one to seven times per week), Monthly (one to seven times per month), or Yearly (one to seven times per year). New tasks are coded blue, which helps users reinforce more vigorously the activities that they want to mold into good habits.
There are two regularity diagrams for each habit, so users can analyze their own success. The diagrams illustrate progress over the last 30 days or the last 30 actions. Useful Slug Brings Classic International School Yard Game to iOS - Published on 03/07/13

In the days of the Internet it can be hard to imagine how slowly things would go 'viral' a century or more ago. One game that has had such a spread is Grandmother's Footsteps, at least that is one of the names it has been given in the UK. The game has spread over so many years and been adopted by so many, that it is known by a different name on every corner of the globe. The base rules however are all the same. With a new generation of young players and the game fading from many people's memory, useful slug decided to bring the traditional game into the digital era.
The base rules that are found all over the world are as follows:
* A person starts out as the "Curator" and stands at the end of a field
* Everyone else playing stands at the far end. The object of the game is for a "Statue" to tag the Curator, thereby becoming the Curator and resetting the game
* The Curator turns their back to the field, and the "Statues" attempt to race across and tag the Curator
* Whenever the Curator turns around, the Statues must freeze in position and hold that for as long as the Curator looks at them
* If a Statue is caught moving, they are sent back to the starting line to begin again
Grandmother's Footsteps for iOS plays as a party game, with each player tapping in one corner of the screen to make his character run, and holding to stand still when the person who is it turns around. When one player wins, he then controls the pace for all the other players on the next round. Although the game is the most fun to play with all your friends or family, the computer AI will take over a character after a period of inactivity, so when attention spans differ or the kettle is boiling, it's easy to take a break from an ongoing game for one of the contestants, and rejoining is as easy as tapping back in.

Kenneth had been working on an update to the game in-between client projects to deepen the gameplay and enhance the animation. Kenneth also plans to revise the game's 'robot opponent'.
Prague, Czech Republic - Entrepreneurial iOS developer Kenneth Mayfield announced that SteamPunk Hockey HD (SPH-HD) for iPad has launched a surprise assault upon the iTunes charts of North America. SPH-HD is currently taken the high ground in the "iPad/Games/Family/Free"; chart category, settling at #8 in Canada, and at #10 (peak #8) in the United States of America as recorded by App Annie on 5.3.2013. The sole indie designer and coder of SteamPunk Hockey, Kenneth Mayfield, decided on 3.3.2013 to switch his iPad version of the game to 'Free' for a limited time.
"There were very few sales throughout that App's lifetime, in contrast to SteamPunk Hockey (SPH) iPhone which has seen nearly 100,000 downloads and 90,000 upgrades to date." says Mayfield. "When I switched the iPad version of SPH to free, I hoped for 40 or 50 downloads. The next day it was in the charts, including the USA and Canada. It even made the Top Ten in the Family category. Apps Gone Free picked it up as a feature which helped rocket it up the charts. I'm surprised and totally thrilled."
Kenneth had been working on an update to the game in-between client projects to deepen the gameplay and enhance the animation. Now, he is taking the iPad Retina-scaled artwork from that project and adding it to SteamPunk Hockey iPad as an interim update.
Kenneth also plans to revise the game's 'robot opponent'. "There are criticisms of the game's artificial intelligence, and very rightfully so. Last year I learned to write a much more sophisticated A.I. engine for Freq Trigger, the iPhone game from FREQ Entertainment which converts music into game levels. I'm taking those lessons learned and rewriting SteamPunk Hockey's A.I. I'd like give it a bit more personality than the other Air Hockey games currently on the market. I'd love to take those on. ShufflePuck for iOS has loads of personality and pedigree. It's probably the most challenging game to beat that I know of."

This is the only app that provides direct solutions for any parameter and interactive plots for linear, quadratic, and dual linear equation systems. Students, educators, researchers, and business operations professionals will be delighted with this quick and easy solver.
McLean, Virginia - Radius Development today is pleased to announce the availability of AP Algebra Helper on the App Store. AP Algebra Helper provides intuitive insight, quick solutions, and clear interactive visualizations of common algebraic equations. Linear, quadratic polynomial, quadratic factored, and dual linear sets can all be solved (for any independent parameter) and plotted with this unique mathematical accelerator.
In the solver screen the coefficients (e.g. y, m, x, and b for linear equations) are each individually adjustable with quick action sliders as well as text entry. A lock button on each allows any one of the four to be selected as the dependent parameter (that is, the one that is to be solved). A quick example: Jim is selling popcorn. His popper costs $20 and each batch that he makes takes $3 worth of materials. How much will it cost him to make 25 batches? Selecting y for cost as the dependent parameter, set m to 3, x to 25, and b to 20 to solve: cost = 3 * 25 + 20. Moving the sliders for m, x, and b around will show how the cost changes with number of batches, cost per batch, or cost of the popper.
To show the solution graphically, just hit the graph button on top and the current settings will be used in a plot on the flip side. Further adjustments can be made to the equation using a simplified interface. Here, any parameter can be adjusted but they will all solve for y as the dependent parameter (except for changing y which uses x as the dependent parameter).

What is MDB ACCDB Viewer?
Microsoft Access is a glaring omission in the Mac version of Microsoft Office. Access databases (ACCDB and MDB files) are ubiquitous in the Windows world. They are used for everything, ranging from personal expenses to medical databases to genealogy research. Novice Mac users are often taken by surprise when they learn that they can no longer access their data after switching to the Mac. MDB ACCDB Viewer allows them to view databases on the Mac, and to export the data for other applications such as Filemaker or Bento.

Powerful Monsters Now Have Powerful Talents - Published on 03/07/13

Haypi Monster is a free-to-download MMORPG for iOS devices. The new update contains 135 available Mystery Talents for its hundreds of monsters. New items and monsters are scattered throughout the enchanted land, giving rise to endless adventure. Each monster has its own look, characteristics, rarity score, base stats, and skill set. Now each monster can have its very own Mystery Talent, thanks to a new feature in Haypi Monster Version 1.1.
Shanghai, China - The hundreds of monsters in Haypi Monster have always been extraordinary. Each monster has its own look, characteristics, rarity score, base stats, and skill set. Now each monster can have its very own Mystery Talent, thanks to a new feature in Haypi Monster Version 1.1.
Mystery Talents can only be activated by various rune gems that are scattered throughout the six different scenes. Some rune gems are much harder to find than others, and only the rarest of rune gems can activate mystery talents for the game's most powerful monsters.
All monsters belong to one of nine different element categories (fire, water, plant, etc). Elements are an important aspect of the game because monsters of certain elements have advantages over others. A monster's element influences both its skill possibilities and its Mystery Talents. Some Mystery Talents can only be taught to monsters in a certain element category.
In combat, Mystery Talents activate when specific conditions are met: Fire Barrier activates when a monster is hit by a fire-type skill. Pressure activates the moment a monster enters combat. Adrenaline activates after an opponent is defeated. Other talents require certain weather conditions to activate. Water Therapy, a healing Mystery Talent, activates only when it is raining while Solar Power activates when the weather is scorching. Some talents can even change the weather: Rain Prayer causes rain to fall from the sky while Sand Storm creates a sand storm to injure all monsters who are not rock types.
Some talents are extremely rare and can only be taught to one monster species. The earth-type Ricky and its evolved forms, Rocky and Blocky, are the only ones who can learn Desert power, a Mystery Talent that increases a monster's physical attacks during a sand storm. Poe and its various evolved forms (Infernoe, Hydroe, Vegetaboe, Psychoe, Mineroe, Electroe or Hypnoe) are the only ones who can create element barriers with their Mystery Talents.
Some talents are conditional, increasing some stats while decreasing others. Other talents do more harm than good and must be quickly replaced with a better, more useful talent. Luckily, opponent NPCs do not have the intellect necessary to replace their own harmful Mystery Talents. To get great Mystery Talents, players need luck, luck, and more luck! With patience and determination, those who try will succeed.
