San Mateo, California - Duck Duck Moose, creator of educational mobile apps for children, has launched More Trucks, a sequel to its popular Trucks app. Trucks, introduced in May 2012, has garnered Parents' Choice and Children's Technology Editors' Choice awards and outsold Angry Birds for iPad at launch.
The new More Trucks app teaches children about construction, stacking, sequencing and problem solving as they drive a fire or tow truck, race monster trucks and build structures with a crane. Each activity is designed to encourage experimentation and stimulate the imagination of children ages two and up. More Trucks is available on the AppStore for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch ($1.99).
More Trucks invites children to explore, play, and experiment with four activities:
* Be a firefighter. Drive the fire engine, hose down the fire, and save the city of San Francisco
* Drive monster trucks through changing terrain, over mud pits and other obstacles, experimenting with different speeds, directions, and jumps
* Use a crane to construct a house, pyramid and other structures. Then knock them down with a wrecking ball and build again
* Tow cars to the junkyard. Unload and stack them in the junkyard
Trucks and objects move, fall and bounce as they would in the real world, teaching children the principles of gravity and physics. For example, in the junkyard, the stack of cars will topple if the pile gets too high or imbalanced.
"Our kid testers were especially drawn to building structures with the crane and stacking cars in the junkyard," said Duck Duck Moose co-founder, Caroline Hu Flexer. "And they loved driving the monster trucks fast!"
More Trucks features an array of lively original music that was composed specifically for this app - from jazz, blues and surf, to rock, country, reggae and classical. The music is performed by a diverse selection of live musicians. In addition to original compositions, there are also re-imaginings of classic children's tunes such as Hurry Hurry Drive the Firetruck, Farmer in the Dell and more.
More Trucks is Duck Duck Moose's 16th title since Caroline Hu Flexer, Michael Flexer and Nicci Gabriel founded the company in 2008 to address the difficulty of finding educational apps for their own children. Full Screen enlarges the HiRes photo to fill the iPad screen or removes all white space to make the recipe fullscreen. Google Translate can instantly translate recipes into any of 65 different languages, while remaining in the app. Favorite stars a recipe or menu, and Add to Cart puts all the recipe's ingredients on to a shopping list that can be printed out.

Known for its extreme flexibility and convenience, Resize Sense is designed to fulfill nearly any batch resizing need. To illustrate its flexibility: using custom size and saving presets, it is easy to resize many images, each one to several different sizes, and save them in various formats with different filename patterns. All this in a single batch operation, in a few minutes!
Unlike most other batch image resizers, Resize Sense also allows to crop and straighten individual images manually if required, and copy these settings to other images. Resize Sense lets the user decide what to do if, for example, the image aspect ratio changes: crop, deform, or add borders. Or when the image is too small for the requested size: enlarge, extend canvas, skip, or just keep the original. Resize Sense also supports batch image transformations such as rotation and flipping.

Sled Mayhem is a snowmobile racing game featuring hi-def animation, tricks, rolling terrains, full featured game editor, social sharing, original music, and more.
After topping multiple iTunes store categories in Canada, Goldmark Studios has released a new version of Sled Mayhem with improved features and fixed bugs.
"There is nothing more satisfying than hitting the chord with the players and receiving positive feedback, it makes the hard work worth-while," said Dejan Cecar, Goldmark Studios CEO. "We've been fortunate enough to gain a large, steady-growing fan base with our app on account of its compelling design and addictive gameplay."
Players are taken on a wild ride through rough terrain and beautiful mountain scenery, whipping through trees and hills while gaining bonus points for tricks and jumps. The games features acceleration and braking buttons on the bottom corners of the screen, and when players find themselves with ample opportunity for a sick backflip or trick, simply tilt the device forward or back.
Improved features of the 1.2 version include:
* Working checkpoints
* Control options (tilt or touch for lean, layout, sensitivity)
* How to play help, better wipeouts
* Fixed inverted lean to enhance performance
A unique feature of this app is the ability for players to create and share their own tracks. Using the "create" option in the main menu, players can arrange an entire map to their liking, using just a finger to draw mountains, hills, and place other exciting terrain. Users can publish and share new tracks with thousands of other extreme racers, and "favorite"; the ones they like. If a player is particularly proud of their rankings in the worldwide leaderboards, there is a sharing option for Facebook and Twitter in the main menu.

Sled Mayhem reached #1 in racing games, #2 in sports, and #4 in overall games in Canada, and is available on iTunes. Google Play and Windows version are coming soon.

This March, Apprope will be releasing a spin-off of �Photo Quiz� called �Word & Picture Quiz.� This time players are presented with one word and one picture to solve each riddle. The game is versatile with five different categories: easy, hard, arcade, celebrities, & movies. The game comes with five categories to offer diverse challenges. People with keen pop culture knowledge might turn to the celebrity & movie categories. The app is free to download and available for iOS and Android devices.
Stockholm, Sweden - Crossword buffs and riddle lovers might find themselves addicted to �Word & Picture Quiz.� With just one word and one image as clues, players must guess the hidden answer. The game is free to download at the AppStore and Google Play. The only expense to the game is if a player gets stuck and wants to purchase hint coins for more clues.
So how does the app work? Through a simple and stylish interface, gamers are presented with a word then an image. Players are given a twelve-letter word bank each round, and they can spell out their guesses simply by clicking on each letter. In other words, the word bank itself is a third clue. If a player gets really stuck, letter clues can be bought with hint coins.
Developer Markus Wedenborn describes it a little further, saying, �On an easy level, a player might be presented with the word clue �damp� and a picture of pipes. If you guess that the answer is �basement,� you�re correct. The game is the ultimate mind-bender, and not to mention, it�s addicting!�
The game comes with five categories to offer diverse challenges. People with keen pop culture knowledge might turn to the celebrity and movie categories. People playing with their children might choose the easy or arcade level. As for the real quiz buffs, they�ll likely head straight to the hard level for a serious challenge.
