The CPUG Network Announces the Las Vegas SuperMeet, April 9. 2013 - Published on 03/11/13

The CPUG Network have announced that the Twelfth Annual Las Vegas SuperMeet will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Rio Hotel and Convention Center's Amazon Ballroom in Las Vegas Nevada. Doors open at 4:30 PM and presentations will begin at 7PM. The Las Vegas SuperMeet promises to be the single largest gathering of Final Cut, Adobe, Avid and Autodesk editors, gurus and digital filmmakers during the 2013 Nab Show. Tickets are on sale now.

Doors open at 4:30PM with the "SuperMeet Digital Showcase," featuring over 25 software and hardware developers. Presentations will begin at 7:00PM and continue until 11:00PM. Tickets are on sale online for the Early Bird price of $10.00 each plus ticket fee (Early Bird price ends March 12, 2012) and $10.00 for students with valid student ID. It is expected this SuperMeet will sell out as historically every Las Vegas SuperMeet sells out.
The SuperMeet agenda has not been announced and will not until shortly before the event, but will feature user driven presentations from the likes of Blackmagic Design, Adobe, Avid, Autodesk and Red Giant Software. In addition there will a featured industry guest and much more.
Rounding out the evening will be the always wild and crazy "World Famous Raffle" where tens of thousands worth of valuable prizes will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners, including a Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve System with a FULL Control Surface, a prize valued at over $29,000.00 USD.

Cardup enables anyone to call their family or friends located anywhere in the world for a low price. The app provides a way to avoid the expensive call rates to reach people overseas, offering the cheapest rates anywhere to make calls.
Cardup provides an alternative to even modern technological communications such as VoIP systems, which require both calling parties to have the same application in place. It is also cheaper than using phone cards, with often exorbitant call rates, and expensive landline calls.
Phone calls made with Cardup cost two cents per minute for most places, but for calls to the United States, Canada, China, and India, app users spend half a cent per minute on each call. The costs are covered by the company through advertising, so users will be shown ads before they make calls, but spend much less on the calls they need to make. "It can be so difficult, boring and time-consuming that it gets frustrating," says Musopia co-founder Paula Lehto. "A significant number of people give up, and we want to prevent that by showing them a faster way to get to the fun part."
Musopia's guitar karaoke app FourChords has generated impressive interest in the company's native, tech-savvy Finland. Providing iPhone and iPad users with a more effective, and more importantly, fun way of learning how to play the guitar is just the beginning for this software startup. Now the firm is setting its sights on the U.S. market.
Downloads of the app have increased by 50 percent month-over-month for the past three months, and the timing could not be better for their visit to the Live Music Capital of the World. The FourChords guitar karaoke app is available to download for free from iTunes.
Founded in 2011, Musopia is a five-person company with an impressive pedigree. The company includes serial entrepreneurs, a lawyer who specializes in music and a former Nokia executive who was responsible for the mobile phone manufacturer's music service.
According to Lehto, it is the company's passion for music, combined with a solid app that changes the way people learn music, and the adoption of new technologies that sets the company apart. "We want to show people that anyone can play the guitar," adds Lehto.
The team at Musopia Ltd. love getting together with friends and playing music. It happened too many times that the guitarist didn't remember the chords of the song or the singer's didn't remember the lyrics - and the jamming session was over before it really started. So we thought there must be easier way to do this and ended up developing FourChords - an app that helps you easily play your favorite songs with a real guitar and shows the lyrics in the same display.
While developing the App we had a vision of creating something easier to replace the notes and tabs. We came up with a simple and attractive interface where each chord is represented with its own icon and the player is shown where and when to play the chord as FourChords takes you through the song enabling you to play your favorite songs literally straight away.
