I have both and both carry the same iTunes ID. Thus they have the exact same data.except that I had the SIM card moved from the 3 to the Mini. Now for the problem. I find the battery Lasts MUCH longer on the 3 than the Mini. Is this to be expected? I received the mini on 12/16 so I haven't had it long enough for the month recharge. I ued the mini about 3 hrs yesterday. The battery went from 100% to 45%.
Today, I deliberately used my 3 for about the same time doing the same things...email, web, and backgammon. I like the 3 much better for everything except portability. I can carry the mini in my purse.
Could the cellular make that much difference? I didn't really use it, but it was on along with WiFi.

I do not own a Mini, so I'm not able to run any case studies or simulations for possible solutions. However, the battery is physically smaller than so in the iPad 2, 3 or 4 - therefore, it is certainly possible that it holds less energy than those model's batteries do.

I would turn the cellular service off if you're not using it, otherwise
your device will be using power to search for a connection.

In this respect iTunes 11 must be a bit different from 10.x. And iOS 6.0.1.
I delete apps from iTunes and they still show in the iPod Touch. I
dekete apps from the Touch and they still show in iTunes.
And yes I want them permanently deleted. Sync does not seem to fix
this. Maybe I am missing a step but have done this in the older versions.
I see this appears to be a common issue posted on th4 Apple support
site. Maybe a bug.

Go to the iTunes Store > Your Account > Purchased (at the bottom of the
page) > Apps
Hover over the app you wish to be gone, when the familiar 'X' in the circle
appears click it and you will be asked to verify that you wish to hide the
app. Click yes and it will go away (not deleted, but hidden!).
Now delete the app from both your device and from the iTunes 11 library.
