I've been using mine about a year and the battery seems to discharge more quickly lately. Is this about the lifespan for daily use?

my battery drains quicker if I fail to turn on the wifi after a change in
either the contacts or calendar;
i believe it's trying to sync with google until the battery is dead whereas
if I turn on wifi long enough for
the sync to occur then turn the wifi off the battery life is back to normal.
