The advanced game engine enables each of the weapons deployed by the player to automatically swivel, aim, reload, and fire at the waves of advancing Creeps. The update, with Arcade and Endless modes, adds Game Center integration, where players can compete for achievements and high scores via interactive, online leaderboards.

Played in portrait mode on a gameboard grid measuring 9 x 14, each square on the board is terrain (can be filled by one weapon), occupied terrain (contains an obstacle), or maze (the path the Creeps take from their start point to their end point). Players must strategically place weapons in inventory on available squares so that Creeps will be attacked as they come in to range, while they remain in range, and as they move out of range. Each cartoon-character Creep has its own speed of travel through the maze and its own level of resistance to weapon's fire. Each Creep has a small horizontal bar above them as they move forward, which acts as a thermometer indicating the Creep's weakening defenses. When the thermometer is completely red, the next hit destroys the Creep.

Just as the Creeps come in different sizes, move at various speeds, and have their own resistance to incoming fire, the Pew Pew Weapons each have their own characteristics, differing in cost, firepower, range, recycling time, and type of projectile. Weapons are rated from 1 - 10 on a 3-part scale: Damage, Range, and Speed. There are four levels of playing difficulty, and each level can be re-played at any level. Selecting, placing, and purchasing the right Weapons is the challenge on each of the game's 100 levels that are spread over five different Game Worlds: Forest of Illusion, Rush City, Snow Island, Lost Desert, and Angry Volcano.

Irvine, California - Vortex Games, Inc. has started their first Kickstarter project for their newest iOS title Tribble Sports. They are looking for your help to fund the quick release of the game by Comic-Con in July. They have promised to have the game at a booth for your enjoyment at whatever stage it is in, so be sure to stop by if you are at Comic-Con.

Right now though they need your help. They are seeking to hire a programmer full-time so that he can complete the project in a decent amount of time instead of working on it slowly. They have taken the game to many conventions now and everyone who lays their hands on it says only great things, and some will barely give it back.

Tribble Sports is an entertaining game that has randomized levels so you'll never play the same level twice unless you want to. The game will start with two mini-sports: Golf and Bowling.

Tribble Golf will be controlled similar to most modern day physics launchers and you'll have your choice of specialized Tribbles to get the lowest number of strokes per hole. Each character will have different animations depending on what happens after the shot so watch for their reactions. The Tribbles themselves make adorable squeaking and purring noises and the music is light and airy.

Tribble Bowling will use the tilt to move mechanic after the Tribble is rolled down the lane. Every lane will be different and will contain obstacles and other such silly nonsense that you will have to avoid. Get the Tribble to the pins and score a strike!

Vortex Games, Inc. has promised more mini-sports from around world if the game is a success so you can look forward to sports like volleyball, tennis, cricket, bocce ball, soccer, basketball, billiards, and who knows what else!

As a reward for everyone who just takes a look at their Kickstarter, Vortex Games, Inc. has included a Windows alpha demo of the game for you to download and test out for yourself. If you like what you see then they would definitely appreciate any help you can offer.

Different types of fruit possess varying level of strength. The levels are just difficult enough to keep players interested, but easy enough to understand that the game is fun for children and adults alike.

The game offers three different modes of play: Classic, Arcade, and Zen. In Classic mode, players lose one life for each vegetable that falls unscathed, and they lose one life each time they accidentally slash through a tiny airborne bomb that is mixed in with the flying vegetables. In Arcade mode, players have 60 seconds to score the maximum number of points. Inadvertently cutting into a bomb resets the points counter to zero, and the game continues. In Zen mode, players have 90 seconds of pure gameplay, without any bombs or lives.

In all three modes, combos of three or more vegetables in a single stroke score big bonuses. Lucky vegetables carry a 10-point bonus, and other vegetables carry a 10-second extra time bonus. Players may also go into a double points period, where all scoring is doubled for 10 seconds. Bonus vegetables appear only as the result of scoring combos. Finally, in every mode players are free to slash rapidly left and right, resulting in many cuts. But the key to high scores is perfectly timed and executed single slashes that cut through three or more vegetables at a time.

Rollerhog follows the trials and tribulations of a plucky young hedgehog as he attempts to navigate his way home through psychedelic landscapes.

"Everyone always says 'I've got a great idea for an iPhone game' but now, someone who had a great idea has actually had the opportunity to see it made" says Oli Christie, CEO of Neon Play. "We received hundreds of entries from all over the UK and even one from as far afield as Singapore but Patrick's idea stuck with us because we knew it had the potential to become something really great. Upon playing the completed version of Rollerhog for the first time, Jamison commented:

The studio has high hopes for Rollerhog and is confident that it can emulate the success of many of its games which have attained over 1 million downloads each. The 'Design an app' competition rules stipulate that Jamison will receive a 25 per cent split of the revenues generated by the game.

Five little known facts about hedgehogs:
* Hedgehogs have a top sprint speed of 6mph. Rollerhog, however, can move much faster
* Studies have calculated that about 12,000-15,000 hedgehogs are killed on the roads each year - don't let Rollerhog become a statistic
* In Medieval England, hedgehog meat was roasted and eaten with wild duck sauce
* Hedgehogs are still eaten in some Middle Eastern countries, especially among Bedouins who attribute medicinal qualities to hedgehog meat
