Also in this message my iPhone has changed the link you added into plain type not an instant link, not good function. Is something wrong with my Pphone setting or does everyone experience this?

Mail push not working

I have an iPhone 4S and use Apple's me.com service for email. Why doesn't push work anymore?

Does anyone else have this problem?

Am I doing something wrong?

I did migrate to iCloud some months ago. Is that the problem? iCloud doesn't push yet?

Yes it does, I thought maybe they were starting to disable MobileMe.

If Push is turned on and enabled for that account in the settings, I would
do a hard reset (hold home and power until logo) if it still doesn't work
then remove account and readd it - works fine on my phone. I have filters
in gmail to forward 'important' items to iCloud to be pushed.

Auto Correct

This issue has most likely been addressed in the past. If so please forgive me for bringing it up again. I just hate the auto correct feature when text messaging....it never gets anything right and then I have to correct the auto correct! Is there some way to disable this annoying feature?

Exchange contacts and email addresses

I have a windows based PC and Iphone 4S. I am synching my work Windows
based exchange contacts to my phone. The contacts on my computer are
edited and fine, and do not include just email addresses that I may have
emailed, however the phone conrtacts are also picking up EVERY email
address I have ever emailed not necessarily saved as contacts in my
computer. Does that make sense? I really don't want all those random
email address unless I have added them as a contact. Is there anyway
to get those to quit showing up on my phone?

I have not used this on an iPhone, just a Mac, but the search term you are looking for is "previous recipients". It is a sometimes bothersome feature of Apple's Mail.app. That search term hopefully get you an answer. The issue is in Mail and not Exchange.

In Mail on a Mac you would click on Window> Previous Recipients and a dialog box would come up to take care of that. Mail on the Mac is a little different than Mail on an iDevice.

I don't know how to take care of that in Mail on an iPhone, other than to keep typing until you pass the last suggestion.

Thanks. I suppose that only if I use it more will I grasp its intricacies. Reqall btw seems to be the only ap that offers location based reminders though they want to charge $20 a year - any other app that offers this service free? I'd think that a paid ap should be there which may charge once but not annually.

Regular notes takes notes and that's it. Evernote is not for everyone. I do not use it.

Sent to you by Brent via Google Reader: I am breaking my own rule by
writing about this iPhone charger, that's how cool it is via BetaNews
by Tim Conneally on 3/15/12

As a tech writer, there are two things that I avoid like the plague:
iPhone cases and iPhone cases. I say this as two separate instances
because there are so freaking many of the things that avoiding them is
a full-time job. Marketers indiscriminately shower me with information
about various cases even though I have never displayed an interest in
them, nor do I even own an iPhone.

In 2011, my BetaNews email address got 209 different email pitches
about iPhone cases. Seriously…they were all different ones (Thanks to
Tout for the inbox analysis, by the way.)

Today I'm breaking that rule and writing about a iPhone case
Kickstarter project that caught my attention simply because of its
ingenious design.

The JuiceTank by Detached, which debuted today, integrates a U.S.
standard wall charger into the iPhone case, so users can charge their
phone anywhere they go, without the need for a cord.

"I had a bad habit of leaving my charger at home and getting stuck with
a dead cellphone," Detached founder Jesse Pliner said in a statement on
Thursday. "The JuiceTank is the perfect answer to this common problem,
remarkable in its simplicity. When your case is your charger, you have
everything you need to keep your iPhone looking great and fully charged
at all times."

The case is set to debut at a retail price of $70 USD, but Kickstarter
funders can get one for $55, and it is expected to ship some time in
Summer 2012.

Don't expect me to make a habit of talking about iPhone cases, either.
This item is exceptionally utilitarian, and I heartily approve of that
ethos.

Update: After changing that setting to put call screening back on, the voicemails have gone to GV instead of the phone. Strange way to make it work.

I do remember unchecking that in my settings a few months ago so the correlation may be correct.

I saw a new "do things faster" AT&T ad today. This one said "only AT&T's 4G network lets your iPhone download three times faster." Truth? Semitruth? Marketing trick to make us think we're getting something we're not, like the new 4G label with the 5.1 update?

Thanks, Susan. I appreciate the tip and will look into Photosync.
Once I get the pix in iTunes, how do I then get them into the folders on my phone? Confusing, but worth it since I have so many photos.
Thanks again,

Hi Carol - once you get your photos into your computer (I put them in My Pictures) organize them as you would like them on the phone. Keep or create folders for them. Then go into iTunes, attach your phone, click on the photos tab in iTunes. It will have checkboxes to sync all photos Or check only the folders with the photos you want. If you check only a couple of folders as I do they will sync to the phone in appropriate folders as well, not in the camera roll. The folders will have the same name and contents as what is on your computer.
