Atomic 2DPlatformer brings with it several features that make it stand out from the iPhone Platformer gaming crowd. Atomic, the main character, has a wide variety of powers ranging from the ability to turn enemies into ice, using a flamethrower, slashing enemies with a sword, turning himself into a fireball and producing mystic flames that surround his body. He uses these various abilities to defeat various enemy types ranging from basic walkers to enemies that can fly.
Also Atomic can collect coins and smash bricks (which will please the Super Mario in you) using his many different abilities. Also for nostalgic purposes the developer Pixel Power included a monochrome gameboy level that will bring back memories of the first official console handheld the nintendo gameboy.
Atomic 2D Platformer also features several boss fights against large bosses, some that even fill up half the screen. Included in the game is the boss rush arena mode, which is unlocked after beating the game. Also there is an achievements center which will keep you playing long after you beaten the game by going after all the goals in the achievement section. Also a review in the popular IOSreviewer website lauded the game as a step up in iPhone platformer gaming calling it one of the best iPhone platformer games. Add to that the game has an average user rating of 5 stars.

Just as the iPhone has progressed, Atomic 2D Platformer represents the step up for iPhone platformer games. There are five different activities in the game: 1) Tangled Maze: Guide your ladybug through a maze and find the exit; 2) Color Trouble: Bring the ladybug to its matching color home; 3) Ladybug Race: Race against a blue ladybug; 4) Baby Game: Pick up a baby ladybug and together return home; 5) Cloud Game: Find your way home and avoid the clouds above you.
Since it is designed for small children, the function to return to the main menu, located at the top right portion of the screen, works differently than most other games. In Ladybugs 2, the button must be pressed for approximately three seconds in order to return to the main menu to choose another game, or to quit the game. This method was incorporated so that a child will not accidentally leave his/her game by unintentionally touching (on the iPad) or clicking (on a Mac) this button.

Individuals can be connected through various relationships by simply tapping once on the symbol. A handy floating menu then appears. Users just hold the relationship they want to create and then drag the line to another individual to complete the relationship. If they have not yet created another individual, the relationship will create a spouse or parents to put on the other end of the connection.
Among the relationships on the menu are marriage, parental, and emotional relationships. The app features thirty different emotional relationships, such as indifference, friendship, love, or abuse, represented with various colors and line symbols on the chart. It also utilizes twenty different marriage-like relationships ranging from divorce and engagement to cohabitation and casual relationship.
The straightforward tapping and dragging controls of the application let users create their diagrams with ease, and the undo and redo buttons in the bottom left hand corner of the screen allow for easy recalling of recent or changed actions. A Help button at the top of the screen provides users with an extensive index of how to add individuals, edit relationships, move symbols, and much more.
Reports are simple to create with iGenogram; with one tap the application creates a PDF of the diagram and all notes that have been added to individuals and to the genogram as a whole. This PDF can then be printed or exported to Mail and other applications.

The iOS App iOrnament is a drawing app that connects art and science. It offers likewise fun and creative challenge. Following strict geometric rules of symmetry the app creates intriguing patterns by repeating the hand-drawn user input over and over. The ornaments that are created reach from simple kaleidoscope like pictures over strangely interlocking creatures, to highly artistic ornamental patterns. In recognition of the success of this popular creative and mind-twisting drawing app the independent label science-to-touch now offers a free LITE version of iOrnament.
Following the playful character of iOrnament this LITE version chooses randomly two colors on every start of the app (nicely visualized by flying locks). All subsequent drawing has to use shades and variations of these two colors. Restriction is often the source of creativity and it is amazing to see what can be achieved by two colors only if in addition geometric effects and rules of symmetry are added to the drawing.
Like the full version of iOrnament the LITE version also contains a explanatory tutorial that explains the math of the generated patterns. With this it is also possible to use the drawing app in educational scenarios for instance in math or art lessons. The lite version is available on the Apple app store since mid November.

Chess Opening Trainer is a tool for building and mastering chess opening repertoire. Version 3.0, adds support for Forsyth-Edwards Notation positions and more.
Tempe, Arizona - Filipino-American Grandmaster Rogelio Barcenilla Jr. has revealed that that he is using the iPad application Chess Opening Trainer to manage his repertoire. In a show of his appreciation of the Chess Opening Trainer, Grandmaster Barcenilla posted on his official Facebook fan page pictures of him showing his iPad with Chess Opening Trainer. He writes "I'm using Chess Opening Trainer for managing my repertoire on the go". Barcenilla is known to be very busy managing their family business and consequently he now has less time to spend for chess.
Barcenilla (FIDE 2518) achieved his first grandmaster norm in 1993 in Jakarta, Indonesia. He picked up his 2nd norm in 1998 in the Philippines, and his 3rd GM norm in June 2009 at the Copper State International in Phoenix, Arizona. He was an accomplished player as a junior, winning numerous Philippines and Asian Youth Championships, as well as playing on the Olympiad team. In 1991, he finished 3rd overall at the World Junior Championship in Romania. Since moving to the United States, Barcenilla has won numerous open tournaments in Arizona and has fared well in open tournaments outside of Arizona.
Chess Opening Trainer is mainly a tool for building and learning chess opening repertoire. The latest release, version 3.0, adds support for FEN (Forsyth-Edwards Notation) positions, which are positions that start from any position other than the normal start position of the chess games. This allows the users to use Chess Opening Trainer to also build and learn libraries of tactics, end games and other essential positions.
