You can add any of the columns available. New ones go on the right, though,
where you might not want them: for that matter, existing ones might not be
where you want them: just grab them at the top and drag them.

I just learned that you can do the same thing with Safari tabs. How long have we been able to do that? Is is new in Mountain Lion? I use it all the time to keep open tabs in order.

Works for me in 10.6.8 - as I've only just found out :-)

I don't remember *not* being able to do it. You can also do it in Mail and
Finder in list mode. I'm still on 10.5 BTW.

Well, look at that! I just tried it in Mail, and it does it there too! Never knew that, either.

The little "speech baloon"

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Speech_balloon_3_types.svg>

at the top of its own column, next to the "Read/Unread" and "Flagged/Unflagged" columns.

What is it?

Thanks,
Dave

Howdy.

The icon is a speech balloon and is for reply to a message using iChat
(or in Mountain Lion via Messages).

Since I don't use Apple's Mail program I can't help with additional
info but perhaps another group member can provide specifics.

Tip 1: Use the View menu and the Columns command to figure out what
columns are named and to turn columns on and off. Many applications
have the same command for turning columns on and off. For example, try
it in iTunes.

Tip 2: You can rearrange columns by dragging the column title/name
left or right. For example, want the Subject Column to be first on the
left? Drag it there. Same in many other programs.

Brent,

I don't use the ABS, I connect to the Verizon modem, and I have two other macs that still connect wirelessly.

In About This Mac, it says Airport is currently turned off. The icon in the menu bar says Airport Not Configured.

In Network Preferences, there is no option or mention of Airport.

John,

You haven't confirmed that you've done a shutdown and "cold" boot. Have you
done this?

Howdy.

Is there an issue with iTunes Match, not renewing, and then losing
purchased music?

I'm not sure if I understand this issue but am asking on behalf of the
group.

Howdy.

There are some rumors that Foxconn may set up a manufacturing facility
in the United States.

I'd be interested is seeing whether the Foxconn Chinese gigantic
factory paradigm can be translated to the United States along with the
near instant ability to change a product's hardware config in the near
equivalent of a nano second.

I normally search for images through Safari/Google of certain size or greater. Suddenly tonite, I am only given a choice of Small, Medium, or Large. Have I missed the once useful toolbox that showed on the left of the screen where I can search for certain size images?

How can I get this once useful tool box back?

Wow, Google has decided to delete searching by image size for their newly "designed" mobile searching on the web. Ain't that great? Wow, what other genius improvements can this miraculous company "design" bring? jr

I work for an Internet retailer. If you only knew how much and often Google changes their search engine.

Hi All,

Is there a way to request a read receipt when you send a email using Mail?
