Yes, you can modify the "standard" playlists or create your own. There are
often many ways to get the same result, so if what you did works, it's the
"right way".

My radio streams all show as Time: Continuous and Size: Stream so I
would've tested for either of those instead of changing the Kind and then
testing for that.

My Top 25 already says 'Media kind is not Podcast'. Did you have to add
that?

BTW I find it useful to have columns in the main window for Kind, Size, and
Time. It's easy to add these using View > View Options.

Greetings!

I have lost my 'Contacts'.

And I don't mean my lenses!

I was using 'Time Machine' to find an old file and when I hit 'Restore' I returned to 'Today' and my Contacts file was blank. The Address Book was opened, but with no entries, just a blank book.

What did I do wrong?

Otto, It wasn't defaulted to "Media kind is not Podcast", but that option was in the pull-down menu, so I chose it, renamed the streaming radio to "podcast", and I'm good to go.. I've added Kind and size to the columns. I didn't even know I could do that. I'm learning a lot and I thank you. It's working the way I want it now and I'm very happy. Thanks.

John,

I misspoke when I said re-configure the card. I meant the ABS. If the ABS and the computer had all their cables disconnected, there should be no damage.

Check the Airport Base Station & its configuration, using an Ethernet cable. Does the ABS show the lights that mean it is on and has a internet connection? Does your bridge/modem to the internet also show the correct lights and that it is getting Ethernet traffic from the ABS?

My software configuration is different than yours, and there have been many changes between the two levels of OS, so I'm working from memory on some of this. Two major areas of change are: About this Mac (it is now called System Information, not System Profiler) and Airport Utility.

From the icon in the Menu Bar, can you turn on the WiFi? If not either Open Network Preferences or go to System Preferences and open Network Preferences and try to turn it on there.

(The computer was unplugged when the power returned.)
