Am using Mountain Lion on a MacBook Pro.
Every second or third time when I click the Bookmarks Bar instead of seeing my bookmarks all I get is a grey screen.
To see the bookmarks I exit Safari and then re-enter it.
What is causing this problem and how is it fixed.

Thanks to all who responded. I did find the System Preferences section regarding the scroll bar and made the change. It works fine now.
Somehow during all the poking around process my homepage is now loading as well.
Perhaps asking why something is working right is a question not worth asking?
John

Randy: Wow!
Many thanks for your response. Right now I'm eating left-over turkey at my daughter's home in Pasadena. When I get home (near Stanford) I'll try those suggestions.
Many thanks again!

Best Buy seems to have several iTunes gift card sales during the year. I've also run into them at Safeway. There's probably one of the "deals" sites that tracks these along with all the other deals they list.
It's worth keeping your eyes peeled for these things!

NOTE: I edited this message. I thought the gift card sales were through today only, but discovered the prices are in effect until Dec. 2. Sorry for the confusion if you read my initial post.
