Back in August, Dan was at Busch Gardens and happened to notice several parents having to take multiple pictures on their smartphones by making monkey sounds because their children wouldn't look at the camera and smile. It occurred to him that professional photographers that take pictures of children often use some kind of noise maker to get their subject's attention. Dan spoke with Eric, a professional app developer, and the two determined that no iOS app existed that could do this. Mike was brought in to provide financial expertise and market it. The three worked together to build it and run it through the paces to create the app that was released today.
According to Dan Roberts, "As a dad, the biggest obstacle I have in capturing good pictures...and I'm talking about 'send to grandma and grandpa, make into a Christmas card' pictures...is getting my kids to look where I want them to and give me a good, realistic smile. So, I figured if kids get distracted by the littlest things, why not use that in my favor. That's what Picasound does; it gets them to look and giggle so I can get a great picture. The Magnificent Travelling Palace draft was first written years ago by the developer of the App, Shoham D., on a small notepad during a long train ride in northern India. "The first time I visited India, it took me three days to fall in love with this country and its culture but then it took me 15 years to be able to bring it to the iPad" says Shoham. "After my first son was born I wanted to introduce him with the wonders of India and at the same time teach and educate him about cultural diversity."

The software allows users to print multiple PDF files with just a click of a button, saving the time and effort of opening and printing each document manually.
The new version brings BatchOutput PDF to a totally new level by introducing fully automated processing based on watched hot folders. Users now can define print presets for various output settings and assign a hot folder for each preset. For example, they can create hot folders for color and black and white printers, specific types and sizes of paper and so on. Users only need to drop PDF files into hot folders and the files will be printed automatically with the respective settings.
"This is one of those apps that you never knew you needed until you spend a day using it," says Glen Saville of the self-titled design firm in the UK. "If you handle a large number of PDFs daily this will save you time, without a doubt."
