"System Preferences" -> "General" -> Set "Show scroll bars" to "always.

In safari preferences under "General" have you set "New windows open with" and/or "New tabs open with" to "Homepage" ?

Question 1, I don't know.
Question 2, maybe. In Safari Preferences/
And next to
"New windows open with" do you have Home Page, or something else?

I am not finding any of the "preferences choices" you folks are identifying. I am using Safari V 6.02 and my preference choices are apparently different than yours.
For example, there is no "safari opens with" option in my general preferences. I have tried Safari help and searched for scroll bar, and nothing even comes up.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Are you looking in the Preference for Safari. Single click on safari in the Safari bar , then choose Preferences. Under Preference->General you will find the choices referenced. Set up your home page, etc.
Hope this helps,
Tanya

No scrollbar preferences there in Safari 6.0.2, under Mountain Lion (or, I think, Lion either).

I set it up from this address:
<supportprofile.apple.com>
When I've called after setting it up, the only information that the automated system asks for is which of my registered devices I'm calling about. I find it to be much faster. When the human comes on the line they do not ask for a repeat of any of your information either.

They do usually, eventually ask for your Apple ID somewhere in the conversation, which will direct them to the Support Profile, which gives them the serial number for your Apple devices.

I am looking for a portfolio management application, preferably one that can interact with a standard brokerage account with someone like Charles Schwab, etc.
Schwab offers their "StreetSmart" software, but it is really designed for the PC, with a web-based 'JAVA' approach for Mac users. It is not very satisfying.
Any good ideas?

Gotcha. You would think there wouldn't be much of this type of software for the Macintosh, but there is actually quite a bit:

I use iTunes primarily for video podcasts. Only have problems with AdoramaTV.
When subscribed to this site whenever iTunes does a refresh MOST of the episodes show up as available for download. Downloaded, read & deleted, downloaded & read, downloaded & unread, available for download doesn't matter. The episodes show up available for download again and again and again.
I like the content but its a pain to deal with repeated episodes.
I built a clean 10.7.4 system for diagnosing a hardware problem and tried iTunes on it. Same problem.
Any suggestions?
