We have rewritten this functionality, which was previously only available in DEVONthink Pro Office, from the ground up to make use of Apple's newest technology. Scan your paper documents with just a few clicks on any compatible scanner, collect multiple pages into a document if necessary, and save it to your inbox.
"We believe in the paperless office and deliver the #1 Mac application for managing it with DEVONthink Pro Office. But not all users need the high-end features of the Pro Office edition so we have added our completely rewritten scan feature to all editions of DEVONthink, starting with DEVONthink Personal. The goal is to eat as many eggs as possible by hitting different birds flying overhead with a stone. Players control Ed as he runs back and forth, pauses, or jumps. The longer the fire control button is held, the farther the rock goes on release. The dual-function joypad controls both movement and aiming. Ghoulish, wide-mouthed, red monster Eggy Ed progresses sequentially through 45 EGGcellent levels of play.
Ed is a fire engine red monster, with bad skin, a giant mouth with very few teeth, yellow eyes, and a very large, long tongue. He loves eating eggs. Of course, birds are airborne and not easily caught, but Eggy Ed has a limitless supplies of small gray rocks, which he throws straight and fast in hopes of hitting a bird who will drop an egg for him to catch and eat. At the lower levels of play, this is fairly easy. But as gameplay continues, the variety of birds increases, and they become smaller, faster, and harder to hit.
Eggy Ed features an innovative fire control/aiming system. Touch and hold the fire button and small white lines appear above Ed like rungs of a ladder. The longer the button is held, the higher the ladder, which corresponds to the height the stone will reach when the button is released. And with the left hand, the joypad controls Ed's movement left or right, as well as the angle at which he releases the stone. Gamers quickly discover the enhanced playability afforded by these integrated move/aim and slingshot/release controls. With practice, players can build up potential rock speed, run, turn, and fire at a 30-degree angle to hit a swiftly flying bird overhead.

Even with practiced rock-throwing skills, these birds become too difficult to hit and kill, and so the designers have built in 11 perks, skills and weapons, to assist. Perks are earned by hitting a specific number of each type of bird. After the perk is unlocked, players must collect the requisite number of stars, which are released whenever a bird falls dead. Stars are collected by using the jump button to have Ed leap upwards.

* Double Whammy - lets Ed fire 2 stones simultaneously
* Big Bounce - adds a spring to his step, letting Ed jump higher
* Snow Shoes - gives Ed better traction on the ice

Rounds are 60 seconds long, and counters display eggs eaten and points scored. And there are a host of dangers Ed must face over 45 levels of play, including lethal bird droppings, skidding penguins, and zombies. With an existing online service and a team of language learners to look to, Ultralingua began investigating what would best serve online students in late 2010.
Marketing manager Ashleigh Lincoln explained, "We assumed we'd hear that good design and ease of use were important, but it was reliable content that students said they needed most. A lot of information is available online, but so much of it can't be trusted. We were shocked - students already know have reliable content, so we just set out to make it easier to access it online."
A team of linguists and language specialists keep definitions and translations up to date in Ultralingua dictionaries. They promise a balance between relevancy, by updating their databases often, and accuracy, by employing only linguistic specialists, that is unique among other language reference options.
Under the old model, Ultralingua's online dictionary offered a handful of free searches. After hitting the limit, users purchased Pro subscriptions for continued use.
"We knew it had to change - it just didn't work on the internet today" Lincoln said. "Now, you can sign up free to have access to virtually everything you'll need. Some students will need the grammar references and other premium features, and the Pro account is still there for them."
The redesigned online dictionary makes use of advances Ultralingua has made in app technology since their launch in the iTunes App Store in 2008.

San Francisco, California - Based in Denver - Chris Sherland and Peter Grundy, former LEGO video game developers of MMOG studio NetDevil, today officially announced a new interactive eBook development and publishing company, Twistframe LLC. Following a soft launch in March 2012, the co-founders teamed up with established children's book author, Sara Pinto, who was ready to make the jump from traditional books to the interactive realm. The team quietly released The Color Closet, a dynamic and functionally delightful digital coloring book on the iBooks App Store in June. Highlighting excellent storytelling with smart technology is Twistframe's mission.
"The way books are written and read is changing; we are putting ourselves at the forefront of this movement." said Chris Sherland, Twistframe co-founder and COO. "The emerging eBook industry is putting power back where it belongs - in the hands of the storyteller. Now authors and publishers can not only use the narrative, but new levels of interactivity to communicate and enhance the reading experience."
Twistframe is currently focused on the Apple iBook platform but will be developing for other leading eReaders in the near future. The traditional book publishing industry faces a huge shift ahead, with software technology becoming a crucial factor in development and distribution. Twistframe is approaching this challenge with an alternative mindset, skillset and arsenal of connections.
In moving from gaming to eBook technology, the scrappy start-up aims to redefine what a book is and how it should be read. "Twistframe is committed to packaging quality content with easy-to-use interactivity that deepens reader engagement," said Peter Grundy, Twistframe co-founder and creative director. "It's an exciting time for artistic content creators as these tools and devices begin to open up richer experiences to new audiences."
