Hi All,
I am new to this group and I hope this is a related question.
I have a fairly new IMAC computer... OS X 10.8.
I upgraded to Mountain Lion the other day but now when I go to the website fafsa.gov I get a message saying my web browser is out of date and is not supported. I checked to make sure Firefox is up to date and I am running 14.0.1.
Can someone please help me.

A wide variety of reasons you might get such a message. Your browser is not out of date, but if the site thinks it's "unsupported" you might consider using another browser that does not generate that message. Try Safari.
FAFSA is a fussy site and you can have problems even if it thinks the browser is solid. I have used an "unsupported" browser to work through FAFSA forms. It's likely to work and it's not the biggest tragedy in the world if it does not. You might lose a bit of work, but it's always easier the second time. ;)

I just visited the site in Safari, with Java turned off. It came up
perfectly. So having Java turned off isn't the problem.

I have a 3.5 year old Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion, and that website loads fine in Safari, Chrome and Firefox 14.0.1 here.

I'm curious, John.
I've never heard of emptying the downloads folder. How is that done?
