It has an ultra ATA/66 interface. Will drives that are ATA/100 work with the interface?

Howdy.
You can install an ATA/100 drive with an ATA/66 interface and it will
work.
However, the extra speed of the ATA/100 will be wasted and your speed
will be that of the ATA/66 interface.

Also the firmware limits drive size to 128 GB. You can fit a larger drive
but only 128 GB will be "seen" by the OS.
(I assume it's a 2001 G4 Power Mac.)

I have been using i-nigma for a couple of years with no problems. it is easy to use, basically just frame the QR code on the screen and it takes you to the website automatically.

Using AppleMail I have a GMail account. Under this account there is a "folder"
called "All Mail" It contains many emails that I have deleted from my GMail
account (using Safari to go to GMail directly) and yet it still is in my All
Mail folder. I try to delete it from Apple Mail to no avail!
Why can't I delete these old emails?

Ken,
First, I don't have an answer for you...in fact, I have had the exact same problem. Gmail works fine (via web) but Mail seems to have files strewn all over the place if I use it as the mail app for Gmail. My solution....I went back to using Gmail via the web.
If anybody DOES have a solution, I'd love to hear about it too. Anyway, Ken, at least you know you are not an isolated case.

Goog;e NEVER EVER deletes any of your email.
On their system, they tag it as deleted and their system is setup to treat it in a special way.
All your mail stays in 1 folder, but is tagged and then treated online by their system according to the tags applied to that message.
No offline Mail lint that I have come across is able to work the same way, but I haven't tried the specific Gmail ones.

sign into your GMail account.
On the second line in the upper left there is an icon. Click on it and select settings
then select labels
then scroll down to all mail and uncheck the box that says show IMAP.
That will do it!

I have an Airport network with WPA2 Personal security. I got back a G4 TiBook running Tiger from my granddaughter, who now has a newer machine, and I'm trying to connect it to the network. Years back, when this computer was mine, my network was set up with WEP security. The TiBook sees the network, but when I try to join it I get asked for my WEP password which, of course doesn't work, and trying the WPA2 password not surprisingly doesn't work either. The only security choices offered by the drop-down are WEP 40/128 bit Hex, WEP 40/128 ASCII AND LEAP no WPA.
I've tried setting up a new connection using the same network name and WPA2 Personal security with the current network password, but I get a response that "The wireless network does not support the requested encryption method."
Is it possible to get around this problem without going back to WEP2 on the network?
Thanks,
................Mike

I don't think so. This PowerBook had the original 11b AirPort card and did
not support WPA/WPA2.
Perhaps you could get a third-party Wi-Fi adapter; if not, it will have to
be wired ethernet.

I suspected something like that might be the case, Otto, but was confused when I tried creating the new connection with the same network name and was presented with the WPA2 option. I guess that option was being presented by the network, not the TiBook. I'll wire it into the network as needed. Thanks for the clarification.

I have a late 08 MBP, 2.4GHz, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HD. It initially came with Leopard, and I had upgraded it to Snow Leopard and then to Lion.
Along the way, it got a bit sluggish, in spite of following all of Randy's suggestions. It finally got bad enough after the Mt Lion upgrade that I did a bare metal install. I had done this before on Windows but always thought it was not required on OS X. Anyway, my computer is flying again.
Hope this helps someone. FWIW, I was probably my own worst enemy since I purchased and installed a TON of programs during the first 6 months or so of ownership. I probably installed only a third of them on my new install.

You haven't exactly given us much to work with here ...
That said, I've recently read a few reports on the web about 10.8 causing reduced battery lifetimes. Assuming you se the same, Bottom line is wait until apple fixes it, or go back to 10.7.
