iCloud and data

I hope someone can help me. I connected to iCloud today on my phone. Everyone I know that has an iPhone and every tech guy I spoke to suggested I connect to iCloud so today I finally did it. It wasn't until after I was talking to my brother and heard how iCloud actually works that I realized how much more this can go against my data. I am on the lowest data plan that AT&T offered. I tried to turn off my documents and data in the iCloud settings hoping that would prevent me from going over my data but when I click "off" it tells me it is going to wipe it from my phone. I don't know what to do. I cannot take the chance to go over my data allowance (I just lost my job) and I want to opt out of iCloud so that I can be sure I don't, but I don't see a way out of this now. Does anyone have any help or suggestions for me? Thanks...MUCH appreciated!

You could just leave "cellular data" turned OFF except when you actually need it.

You're saying that before you Jailbroke your iDevice you were able to sync with iTunes and all would be fine? Did you jailbreak with apps on your iPhone?

I did a jailbreak on my iPad 3 about a week before the new Absinthe came out. I had apps on my iPad and the jailbreak went well. I backed up my iPad before jailbreak just in case things went wrong. When the new Absinthe came out, I backed up through iTunes and with the Cydia backup. Then I restored my iPad to factory settings. Once the iPad was done, I did the jailbreak and then restored from back up in iTunes to get my iTunes apps on my iPad. Then I restored using the Cydia backup app to get those apps on my iPad. All worked well. I had a few problems with notifications after the jailbreak and a few too many lookups for me to continue using the jailbreak, so now my iPad is back to being unjailbroke.

I hope I have answered your question. Try the steps I took to see if that works for you.

Deselecting songs in iTunes

Hi all,

I am moving my music to the cloud and wondering if when I do, I will still be able to select tracks that I want to listen to my iTunes library. in other words, I have songs that are labeled as holiday music on my MacBook Pro. I've deselected those songs and they do not play when I stream music the old way, but is there a way to do this through the cloud.

Thanks, Chris

If all your music is in the cloud, it is also in your iTunes library unless you delete it from there. When I upload anything that isn't 256 and iTunes matches it, I delete it from From my iTunes library and redownload it from the cloud so I have the music on 256. I don't have to redownload it so ce it's I. The cloud and I can play it from the cloud. I like having all my music in iTunes. iTunes is faster than the cloud in playing music. I can do cross fades with my music. I have found cross fade does t work well trying to do it with music in the cloud. There seems to be a longer gap between songs when listening from the cloud vs listening directly from iTunes.

Hi Stephen

Thanks for the very informative email. Appreciated, I can now understand a lot more about the iPhone transmitters etc.

Had a look at the links, and following up on Cyclops one. Found some vids but not the one in the clouds.

Thanks for your help.

Charlie

Hi Stephen and all

It seems the control maybe by standard r/c transmitter separately. Not what I need.

Can 2 iphone (or equivalent)be used. One as TX and one as RX. The RX would control 2 or three r/c type servos and send GPS to iphone TX. The iPhone TX screen would show GPS position and direction of travel etc. Camera on vehicle could be an option.

Your informed comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

Charlie
