Sorry about the missing link maybe I found it on a forum anyway I had a look on youtube & this is the one

There are several other clips but that's the one I referred to, the range of transmission is at least 2km according to that partic user. In my search I found another branded one where the bloke flew an electric plane about 4km around an oil rig then back again so there are plenty of people out there doing what you want to do with the ranges more than you need but your right just not with a iPhone. However I don't think the iPhone platform is the most flexible for your needs loading a iPhone in your aircraft compared to a dedicated video/telemetry suite is a big weight difference added to the fact that you will have to adapt a existent SDK or program your own app to get the data into then transmitted out of the iPhone on the aircraft as well as to display the data/video on the receiving iPhone this will give you plenty of things to work on personally I wouldn't want to lose a phone if the aircraft went missing 2kms away tho I suppose "find my iPhone" app would find a brand new use, using the phone infrastructure also limits you to the areas where there is a Phone system & you are also at the whim of the phone system provider & in some outer areas the addition of an extra phone on the area will make your connection drop out leading to a lost control situation certainly a loss of bandwidth hence dropping the video feed (that would be part of the design params where there would have to be a staged loss of function) with a last ditch resort of circle in place on total loss of connection (Parrot drones land if you get a phone call while flying them).
Personally I think if you really want to go down the Mobile phone path you will need to talk to the Motorsport groups & look at the smallest GSM Modem that you can get your hands on the areas that you need to research will include the data rate achievable via a phone connection as tx'ing live video as well as rx commands may actually exceed the bandwidth of a mobile phone connection or you will have to compromise on the quality of the video. Having said that with the number of dinky little helicopters (Jaycar sell one that's iPhone compat), the Parrot Drones(which have HD video already built in) & the Car mounted system you found it probably won't be long before what you want becomes available - you might even be the one who makes it happen, this is probably a candidate for a bit of crowd funding if its really popular.
So again not really solved but something to think about

regards
Stephen

Sync Error

After sync on my iPhone 4s, there is a message that "5 items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information."

Where and what on iTunes will tell me the items and how to fix the problem? I've looked and find nothing.

FWIW, I recently deleted all music off the device because it will no long play music (Apple claims it got wet and I must buy a new one... which I will not do).

Appreciate the help.

I'm not aware of a place to find a report, but if you open the Libraries, you will find a warning icon in the left column. If you click on the media, you will get a message saying it can not be found.

Either a popup message appears or an exclamation mark beside the eject button.
In your case, must be an exclamation mark. Click it and list of items appear with reasons like "because iPhone cannot play it", etc.

iOS, shortcuts shuffling

(cross-posted to iPad and iPhone groups)

I'm redistributing my icons across folders on my Home screen.
(I have around 600 apps installed, and I want to sort them in some
detail, as a preparation for eventually uninstalling a lot.)

This causes my iPad 2 (iOS 5.1.1) to freeze (and require a reboot)
after almost every other move.

How do I deselect a music choice.

Hi,

When music and an audiobook is selected to play there seems to be no way to de-select it. I don't mean the checkmark I do mean the speaker icon.

If there are NO other selections I can move it to the end then play but that is STUPID.

TIA,

Robert Poland - Fort Collins, CO
