I am one to agree - also you can wash the nozzles which other printers you can not. Epson are terrible in getting clogged and I have thrown away 3-4 Epson printers over the years. Good printers but one must use them every day. I do not.

I love all the HP printers I've had (although I'm not thrilled with having to use a different black ink for photos in the wireless one) and have always had the not-responding problem. I've discovered that if I click on pause printing, wait a few seconds, than hit resume, I'm off and running.

Howdy.
Epson clogging is something that happened to much older models and not
with recent and current models. I have an Epson R280 that can be left
on for days, or not turned on for a week, and has zero clogging
problems.

Howdy.
Looks like the Canon would be fine in Mountain Lion.
My objection is to a multifunction device. Printer makers make these
because it's a competitive market but to achieve the low price point
they make a pretty cheap device. All the eggs in one basket. If you
need to do a LOT of scanning and at high resolutions, and a lot of
printing, then for better quality and reliability I'd suggest separate
devices.

I agree with Dan on this. I have an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 and I have not had problems with it even when not used for weeks. I think this blatant statement by Bob Morin is doing an injustice to Epson printers.

Hey, Dan,
Do you know of any good laser printers that are also copiers but not multifunction in any other regard? I need a good printer/copier but can't seem to find that combination without getting the scanner/fax machine included too.
