How you can help hackers discover vulnerabilities in iOS 5.1 Posted: 12 Mar 2012 02:54 PM PDT A few days ago we told you that the infamous iOS hacker pod2g had already started working on finding vulnerabilities in iOS 5.1 to use in a new jailbreak. The new software includes patches for the previous jailbreaks for both A4 and A5 devices. Today, pod2g has come forward with another announcement. He is calling on the jailbreak community, or any iOS user for that matter, to help him find bugs in Apple’s mobile OS by sending him crash reports. Keep reading for details…(...) Jony Ive explains some of the secrets to Apple’s sauce Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:50 PM PDT Jonathan Ive has made quite a name for himself over the past few years. And for good reason too. Apple’s SVP of industrial design is largely responsible for creating the look and feel of several popular products, including the iPod and the iPhone. The London-born designer has a reputation for being fairly quiet, and rarely does media interviews. So you can imagine our surprise when we found out that Mr. Ive recently opened up to the London Evening Standard about a broad range of topics…(...) Conan mocks the new iPad Retina display Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:28 PM PDT
I’m really, really not a fan of Conan but I have to say his latest spoof ad for the new iPad Retina display is quite funny, and pretty much spot on. "Conan mocks the new iPad Retina display" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. This RSS feed is brought to you by My Downloader Pro |
Man suing Apple over “misleading” Siri advertisements Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:09 PM PDT Apple’s Siri, featured exclusively on the iPhone 4S, has captured the attention of many over the last few months. Some customers viewed it as a pretty cool addition to iOS, while some have said Siri is pretty pointless. The majority of us were expecting it to be included on the third-generation iPad 3, but that’s not the case. A New York man named Frank M. Fazio isn’t happy with Siri. He says that Apple has been “misleading” with its features set and has filed a class-action lawsuit, reports the WSJ…(...) New in iOS 5.1: Go to this address Posted: 12 Mar 2012 12:42 PM PDT Ever since iOS 5.1 was released last week, we started looking for new features that would have been quietly added to the iPhone or iPad. Two major ones were quickly found, both related to the data settings of your iPhone. The first one unofficially turns your AT&T iPhone 4S into a 4G device, and the second one brings back the 3G toggle in the settings of your iPhone, assuming you are not using AT&T. And now, a subtle new feature has surfaced to… (...) "New in iOS 5.1: Go to this address" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. This RSS feed is brought to you by My Downloader Pro |
HBO to finally allow Universal and Fox movies into iCloud Posted: 12 Mar 2012 12:30 PM PDT According to recent reports, Apple is secretly trying to put together its own TV subscription service. And by the sounds of things, it doesn’t seem to be going very well. Studios are afraid to let Apple anywhere near their multi-million dollar industry. But it appears that at least one major content provider is coming around. The Wall Street Journal has learned that HBO is finally going to relax its terms enough to allow iCloud users to stream previously purchased content to other iOS devices…(...) Shocker: next iPhone expected to launch later this year with LTE Posted: 12 Mar 2012 11:45 AM PDT BGR passes along a report from DigiTimes this morning which claims that Apple is planning to launch a new iPhone later this year equipped with LTE technology. You don’t say? Well, considering that Apple has released a new iPhone every year for the past 5 years, it’s safe to assume that we’ll see another one in 2012. And given the fact that the company’s latest tablet contains LTE, it’s not hard to fathom that its next handset will too…(...) ‘FastCam’ lets you quickly access your iPhone’s camera interface Posted: 12 Mar 2012 11:22 AM PDT And you thought iOS 5.1′s new Lock screen camera was fast? FastCam is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows you to access your iPhone’s camera API using a simple Activator action. The nice thing about FastCam is that it works anywhere, even at the Lock screen.
