I don't know how much but I don't think it's huge. It will runn ok when I'm throttled. I've looked back and forth but not actually tracked it.

I had her check her usage but she didn't time it too accurately since she was driving In a rural area while she ran the test and the 3G signal popped out after awhile. I'll suggest she do a more accurate test when she is in a strong signal area. (She has no cell service at her home.)

I just thought I'd ask if anyone had run the test in their strong signal area.

Many thanks,

Cathy

Just click copy on the photo and insert it wherever you like in the text when you have your gmail open.

By selecting
Photos > Album > camera roll > share
you can email up to 5 photos.

Same method you can also send a single video clip, I don't know upto what length.

iTunes

My iTunes just upgraded and then proceeded to download 60 new apps that I had purchased on iPhone and iPad. Since I sync to the cloud, is there any reason to hook up my devices to the computer? Is that something I need to do periodically?
Thanks,
Carol

I *backup* to iCloud, but I sync to my computer. I don't want everything that I purchase to be on every device I own, so the iPhone and iPad syncs are set up very specifically, and very differently, on my computer.

Also, the cautiously paranoid among us recommend occasionally syncing with your computer even if your normal sync is with iCloud. In case their servers get sick, ow whatever.

iTunes is another way of backing up your iPhone and iPad. It's a measure I use just in case iCloud should go down for any reason. Once you have set up iTunes to wifi sync with your iPhone and iPad you can go into settings on your iPhone and iPad and wirelessly sync. I also have a hard drive I have backed up my entire iMac onto that I keep at my parents house just in case something should happen like a fire or a break-in. The hard drive will be coming back to me on Easter so I can erase the drive and back up my iMac again. I'll take it back to my parents the next time I visit.

After several back-and-forth emails with AT&T (with a different person each time!) and numerous non-answers, they seem to have settled on the idea that the discrepancy is because the iPhone does not register data sent or received while it is in "sleep mode for the night."
I'm still not convinced that such a huge difference can be explained away that easily.

That's a lot of rubbish in my book. I would call Apple and see what they have to say about it.
