You don't have to scratch out a list of tunes just before showtime on cocktail napkins, or print out sets at home for every gig. Setlists lets you create and display collections of songs in any order you like with just a few taps. And everyone in the band who has an iOS device can see the same lists and lyrics you do.

Setlists was designed for performing musicians who need to keep track of a large catalog of lyrics and who need to keep an entire group of musicians informed about which song is coming next. The old tried-and-true method of writing song lists by hand with a black magic marker and taping copies in various places on the stage has limitations that modern technology can easily overcome. That large paper catalog of lyric sheets is likewise begging to be replaced by a device like the iPad.

Setlists allows musicians to organize groups of songs from their repertoires into individual performance sets which can be viewed full-screen for easy live readability on stages of all sizes and lighting conditions. Rearrange songs in a set quickly and easily with just a few taps for last-minute set changes. Tap on any song in a set to see the lyrics displayed full screen, in large type, one verse, chorus, or bridge at a time. Format the look of the lyric view with different typeface, size, and color choices.

Start a remote Jam Session, and several iPads can be connected together wirelessly, sharing the same sets and advancing the lyrics in sync, all controlled from a single device by one band member or an off-stage technician. Each member can choose to see the set view, the lyric view, or a split view of both.

Groups that improvise sets can also make spontaneous choices or take requests directly from their catalog during a live performance. Quickly search the catalog and bring up the lyrics to a particular song in seconds.

Setlists can connect with a Dropbox or Google Docs account for easy transfer of lyrics files. Users can also perform an in-app search for lyrics on the web for easy importing into the song catalog. Users can split lyrics by verse/chorus/bridge, or any way they choose. See as many or as few of the upcoming lines as fits the needs of the singer. Advance to the next part of the song with a swipe, or use the popular AirTurn Bluetooth foot pedal controller for hands-free operation.

Setlists requires an iPad (1st, 2nd or 3rd generation) running iOS 5.0 or later. All graphics are optimized for Retina Display on the 3rd generation iPad. Stock Keeper allows graphic designers, multimedia producers, software developers, and anyone who uses digital media to easily manage their digital media files. Stock Keeper makes it easy for users to find and save stock media online using a built-in web browser, save files from their hard drive, manage usage licenses, and more.

This update adds a menubar widget that allows users to view and search their entire Stock Keeper media library from within any application. Without leaving the foreground application, the user can search and browse their entire Stock Keeper library, then drag files from the menubar browser into their foreground application.

"Stock Keeper was the first media organizer to integrate a web browser, and is still the only one that has a full-featured browser with bookmarks, tabs, and the ability to handle downloads," said programmer Michael LaMorte. "Now with the menubar widget, Stock Keeper raises the bar for what users should expect from their digital media organizer."

In addition to the menubar-based library browser, Stock Keeper 1.1 also uses only 1/10th the memory of the previous version, and has much faster performance with large images and large libraries.

Stock Keeper was designed to speed and simplify the tasks of managing media, from concept through final approval. "Typically, designers spend hours and hours searching stock photo sites for their projects. And they spend even more hours managing those images and the images they use for each client. Everyone I know does this by hand, and it was time to fix that," Mr. LaMorte said.

Rather than spending time manually organizing their media files, Stock Keeper allows users to "tag and forget" their media files. When adding files to Stock Keeper's library, users are prompted to add tags, notes, and other metadata while the information is fresh on their minds. Later when a file is needed, all the user has to do is search for it. In this way, the user never has to come up with an organizational system, manually arrange and name files, and never has to remember a file name or folder location.

"Look at the iPhone and iPad. Users don't worry about what a file is named or where it's located," Mr. LaMorte added, "so why should they worry about these things on their desktop Mac? At the end of the day they want to get a certain file, use it in another file or in some other program, and get on with their life. Stock Keeper helps them get back to spending their time being a designer or a developer or a researcher writing a report, as opposed to moonlighting as an organizational clerk."

Users aren't limited to adding images from online sources with its built-in web browser. They can add images, audio, video, vector EPS, PDF, and any file type from any location. All media added to Stock Keeper is saved in Stock Keeper's own library, where it is locked and prevented from accidental edits. The library can be moved to any location, including external hard drives, servers, and cloud drives like Dropbox.

Finding media is as easy as adding it. Users can manually add assets to Collections, find them by creating Smart Folders, or search their entire library. Users can browse through thumbnails of their media in an iPhoto-like collection, then select any asset for a larger preview and more information. QuickTime-supported media are playable within Stock Keeper.

Using files is equally simple. Users can drag files from Stock Keeper directly into the desired application: Adobe Illustrator or InDesign, Apple's iWork or iLife, Pixelmator, RapidWeaver, even Xcode or any other application that supports the file type via drag and drop. Double-clicking a file opens it in the default application for that file type.

So why did this unlikely duo get together to make mobile games in the first place? When asked, David said, "I left rocket science surprisingly because it was too boring and lacked the creativity and innovation I got into engineering to pursue. Mobile games is much more exciting and allows me to explore far more parts of my brain."

It was at a Facebook game startup, that David met Don, a seasoned game developer, where they immediately connected on their passion for creating games. They soon quit their jobs and formed Loqheart, to create their own mobile games.

But you can tell from their first game, Cannon Cat, their science backgrounds haven't left them completely. Peppered with flying robots, portals, floating islands, and air cannons, Cannon Cat's world is clearly born from the minds of technology and science-fiction enthusiasts. And yet this game has all the cuteness and casual fun that will appeal to any fan of Angry Birds or Tiny Wings. With only one-tap to launch the cat, timing is everything in this game. It starts off easy enough but gets challenging for even a seasoned gamer.

When asked what inspired this wacky world of Cannon Cat, Don jokingly replied, "We actually created Cannon Cat in one week. The prototype at least. It was just a cat with a blue cape flying from one cannon to the next. People loved it. And from this simple prototype we crafted an entire world around it." David added, "And we wanted to surprise and break people's expectations. That's why in our world, fish can fly, islands float in mid-air, and cats save fish instead of eating them."

Games after all are a place where the impossible can happen and people can feel free to take risks. And it's no wonder a rocket scientist and game designer got together to take the ultimate risk, making it big with a cute little mobile game.

Starmap provides detailed information on celestial bodies and events such as planets, constellations, galaxies, clusters, nebulae, meteors, comets, and double stars. Records are provided with images and short descriptions available in 12 languages. All entries are arranged by kind and can be sorted by many criteria like luminosity or rise time. With the device compass, users may point the device in any direction and Starmap will pinpoint and detail the exact portion of the sky, like a virtual telescope. Stargazers use the touch screen to zoom in or out, and tap stars, planets and other objects in the sky for detailed information.

Touching an object on the screen of Starmap launches the compass-based sky search, helping the user to spot the exact position of the object in the sky. Users hold the device parallel to their line of vision as the map smoothly scans the sky as the user moves the device. This helps users quickly and easily identify and match the object in the sky with the celestial map in the application. For example, if a user would like to locate the planet Venus, as the Tonight tab has designated that it will be visible, the user simply taps the Find button. The user is presented with a graphic representation of the night sky, complete with a locator arrow pointing in the direction of Venus. As the user gazes at the sky and turns the iOS device, the user is able to follow the arrow and target guidelines to locate the exact position of Venus in the sky.
