Like all good captains you are prepared to go down but not without a fight. The game has a unique twist as a 2.5D action survival action game where you use your skills to dodge the asteroids and continue as long as you can.

This is the first of Parachuting Frogs' games that was orginally born out of the idea of applying the 10,000 hour principle to mobile game development. Talent has little to do with success according to research conducted by Dr. K. Anders Ericsson, a theory Parachuting Frog first came across through reading Outlier by Malcolm Gladwell. The theory being that elite performers engage in 'deliberate practice' - and focused activity designed to improve target performance. This principal is behind the 10,000 hour theory.

Parachuting Frog furthered their investigation into this area by looking into other practitioners of this theory and came across thedanplan, amongst others, who also wanted to prove the theory from novice golfer to PGA tour professional in this instance. Parachuting Frog decided to apply the principle to that of mobile game development focusing on cross platform games for mobile devices.

The Ext JS grid provides a rich, modern UI widget supporting all major web browsers.

Fremont, California - .com Solutions Inc. has announced that FileMaker Pro developers can use FmPro Migrator Platinum Edition 6.68 for Microsoft VB6 to LiveCode conversions, in order to build multi-platform desktop and mobile applications. Additionally, the PHP Conversion feature now includes support for converting FileMaker Pro portal objects into Ext JS 4 grid objects.

Microsoft VB6 developers looking to switch to the LiveCode cross platform development environment can now use FmPro Migrator Platinum Edition. This new feature automates the conversion of VB6 form files and Visual Basic code into LiveCode stack files. VB6 form object scripts are converted and added to card objects.

FileMaker Pro developers who need to perform PHP conversion projects can now take advantage of the new Ext JS 4 grid object support included with FmPro Migrator Platinum Edition. The Ext JS grid provides a rich, modern UI widget supporting all major web browsers. Most importantly, the Ext JS grid supports all database servers supported by CakePHP, because the data is read from the CakePHP models. Grids displayed on edit forms provide record editing capabilities, including record insert, update and delete features. Grids displayed on view and edit forms provide sorting and hiding of columns. Additional enhancements and bug fixes with this release include:

PHP Conversion Changes:
* CSS Tooltips - Adobe Spry JavaScript-based tooltips have been replaced with CSS tooltips. This change provide compatibility for situations in which JavaScript is disabled in the web browser
* Improved conversion of portal fields to jqGrid or Ext JS grid objects, to prevent fields from being skipped during conversion
* Fixed an issue with container fields being converted as TextArea fields in some situations
* Improved the URL parsing of the primary key within jqGrid PHP files

Access to FileMaker Pro Conversion Changes:
* Improved error handling for Access database tables containing high ASCII characters along with writing a report file of the offending table names into the Missing_Table_Columns_List.txt file
* Removed the ampersand shortcut key character from text labels
* Added linking of acCommandButton objects to converted FileMaker Pro scripts. This feature uses AccessDDRExport 2.6 (included with FmPro Migrator)
* Holding down the shift key during the Drag & Drop of the Access database file will convert all Access Date/Time fields into Date fields in the new FileMaker database. Sometimes the timestamp info is not even required and a date field is the most appropriate data type
* Fixed an issue which prevented processing Access database table names containing a single quote character

Other Changes:
* Fixed an issue during batch importing of layouts within groups from FileMaker Pro Advanced DDR XML files
* Added setting of rolloverCursor property for Servoy button, line and graphic image objects if they are assigned to a script on the FileMaker layout
* Improved the compatibility of pasting scripts into FileMaker 11 database files
* Added a button to copy selected scripts onto the clipboard

As you enter your tasks into Do4Who it asks you who you are doing the task for. If you haven't told it already, it will then ask you how that person is related to you. For example, you might respond that this person is your boss. Do4Who then uses this information to prioritise your to do list. If you set the priority of a task to urgent, it will go straight to the top of your list.

The list it presents also provides summary information on how many tasks you have for that person, how many are late, urgent or due today. You can tap on a person to see what you need to do for them. With a sophisticated scoring system that awards points based on both difficulty and time expended, Pictures Mania HD is not an ordinary spot the difference game. The still life, HD photos are all expertly composed and lit, and the differences are not easily noticed. In Challenge mode, time remaining after finishing a level determines the amount of time available on the next level. Animated Trouble Balloons may appear, obscuring the photos, and the player must use precious time to drag them out of the way. The Versus mode is a competition game between two players. The player finding the most differences at any level scores a win, and the first player to score three wins is the winner of the game.

This major update brings several improvements and adds new features as well, like support for Retina Display on the new iPad (3rd gen), and the option to easily switch between currencies in the currency converter via a single tap. The app has been also further optimized for speed and smaller memory consumption.

Designed as an intelligent assistant for international travelers, the app stores all expenses in both the local and converted, home currencies. With a high-end, dark wood-grain GUI, the app includes no instructions for use; all operations are intuitive and trouble-free. One-time set-up includes entering the user's language, home currency, and the frequency of exchange rate updates. The designers have paid great attention to human factors.

For example, English, Spanish, French, Italian and German appear in their respective places in the scrolling list that appears by touching "Your Language", but the group of five most common languages also appears at the head of the list. Similarly, the app defaults to US dollars, with the yen, euro, swiss francs, british pounds and Canadian dollar leading an alphabetical list of 156 different currencies.

Set-up complete, the home page displays four buttons: Travel Expenses, Currency Converter, Translator, and Quick Add. A summary of the last expense is also shown on the main screen for convenience. The quick add function allows fast expense entry, and goes straight to the entry page of the last trip.

Travel Expenses is the heart of the app, and the Travel Expenses page contains an artfully designed scrolling list of all trips ordered by date by default. The order of trips and expense items can be customized. The user may substitute any photo or graphic for the generic icon displayed with each travel expense listing, which includes the trip's label (i.e. the country or city), the description of the expense (e.g. work, personal, etc.), the date and the total amount of all expenses, automatically converted to the user's home currency.

Selecting any entry brings up an itemized listing of each individual expense for that particular trip. When entering an expense in the local currency the user may enter a description using the pop-up alphanumeric keyboard, or choose a predefined category. Included, with appropriate icons, are: Transportation (Flight), Cash Withdrawal, Taxi, Local Transportation, Hotel, Camping, Fuel, Road Tolls, Souvenirs, Food & Drink, Treatment (Hospital), Shopping, Entertainment, Additional Fees, and Other. Sums are entered using the built-in, multi-function calculator. Both the trips and the expenses scrolling list is fully editable, and displays individual expenses in both local and home currencies, plus the date and description. Expense items also display the corresponding category.

The currency converter function features side-by-side odometer displays for going from any one of 156 currencies to another. The large entry keypad also includes a calculator function. Results are displayed in the dual odometer highlight window with the currency listing. For example, entering 1,555 displays "Japanese Yen - 1,555 JPY" on the left cylinder, and "US Dollars - 20.202 USD" on the right.

The translator function employs two text fields, each with a labeled flag beside it. The user selects his native language/flag and enters the word or phrase to be translated in the text field. The translator supports copy and paste functionality, allowing translation of eMails or web content. Selecting any of 51 languages displays the translation in red type in the second text field.

The app includes graphics and animation illustrating 11 different farm animals: Chicken, Cow, Duck, Cat, Turkey, Pig, Goose, Donkey, Dog, Horse, and Sheep. Each animal is seen in a different setting on Old MacDonald's farm, a location the animal would most likely be found. For example, the Chicken is in the hen house, the Cow is in the barn, and the Duck is in the pond. Old MacDonald appears in every scene, along with an assortment of different plants and animals. As the appropriate verse is heard aloud, the lyrics appear on screen, and they are highlighted as they are sung.

Each full-screen scene includes both automatic and touch-activated animation. For example, in the first scene, a large brown hen is in her nest laying eggs. A small egg rolls out from under her once a minute or when she is touched. There are three large eggs beside her almost ready to hatch. Touching any one cracks it open and reveals a noisy, young chick inside. Old MacDonald looks on through the window, and occasionally a Rooster appears in the window, looks inside, and crows loudly.

Rob Lewis's popular conversion program for importing contact information from the now-defunct Now Contact into Apple's Address Book has moved to a new web address. The free trial is limited to 20 contacts. The full version is editable AppleScript and comes with simple, optional instructions for customizing the format of the converted contacts. Works on virtually any pre-Lion Mac with Now Contact. For those who don't want to tackle modifying the code, Lewis offers custom programming services.

Langley, Washington - Users of the once-popular Now Contact contact manager for Mac were left in the lurch when the publisher, Now Software, failed to produce a successor version for OS X. The safest path for rescuing their contact information was to export it to Apple's Address Book, but the available solutions didn't preserve important information like custom fields and notes attached to a contact.

For the last six years, Rob Lewis has offered a converter that preserves most of this information when moving contacts to Address Book. The program is written in AppleScript and runs on any pre-Lion Mac with any version of Now Contact. Since the Lion OS discontinued support for PowerPC programs like Now Contact, the converter can't be used with it.

Says Lewis, "People are happy to find out that they can move their contacts into Address Book without losing important information. Even if they want to use some other contact manager, virtually any Mac contact manager can import from Address Book, so they're all set. I've had people successfully convert up to 15,000 contacts with my program."

Lewis offers a free trial download limited to 20 contacts, with the full version available by email for a $10 PayPal payment. The full version is editable AppleScript and comes with simple, optional instructions for customizing the format of the converted contacts. For those who don't want to tackle modifying the code, Lewis offers custom programming services. He also has older Macs available to do conversions for customers who have moved on to Lion. Since Apple is about to shut down its MobileMe service, Lewis had to find a new home for his program. It now resides at Froghill.

The process of completing a Life Inventory does not directly address anyone's specific problems or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. Life Inventory iPad guides the user through six different steps, each with its own tab, for making a Life Inventory in writing: Build Lists, Causes and Effects, My Part, Fears Analysis, Fear Questions, and Sex Relations. Throughout the process, users are encouraged to write out their Inventory, be completely honest about themselves, take advantage of encouragement and support, and pray each time they sit down to write their inventory.

The Inventory begins by making one simple list, which defines four fixed Categories in which to file away what are broadly categorized as Incidents: People, Institutions and Organizations; Principles, Ideals and Beliefs; and Sources of Anxiety and Excitement. Each of the four Categories will contain hierarchical sub-categories. From there, users will outline Entities and then individual Incidents.

Step-by-step, users complete the Causes and Effects of each Incident. Next, users determine the part they played in each Incident listed. It is not unusual to create hundreds of Incident forms, each devoted to a single incident. The app includes the ability to create and save all written lists and forms with password protection. Having completed all their Incident forms, users can refer to these forms to help list all their Fears. The app includes the following eight pre-defined fears, to which the user is free to add: other people's opinions, not getting what I want, not having control of the situation, financial insecurity, abandonment, physical harm, failure, and success.

The fifth step is examining each Fear category and answering the following key questions:
* Why did I have this fear?
* When did I first notice this fear in my life?
* How did I hold on to this fear?
* What did this fear make me do?
* What chain of circumstances did this fear set in motion in my life?
* How did I react to this fear?
* What decision did this fear cause me to make?
* How did self-reliance fail me?
* What should I have done instead?

And the sixth and final step is examining Sex Relations, where users answer all the following questions regarding each of their sexual relationships:
* How was I selfish?
* Where was I dishonest?
* Where was I inconsiderate?
* Who was hurt in this situation?
* Did I arouse jealousy, suspicion, or bitterness?
* Where was I at fault?
* What should I have done instead?
* What will I do in the future?
* Did I pray or have spiritual conversations with him/her?
* Did I pray for him/her?
* Did I enjoy his/her company?
* Did we bring each other closer to God?

* USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference ID

Touching the Record button on the top right to add an item to the user's daily food intake, the sugar-watcher can specify a serving size between .1 and 9.9 times the standard serving of 244 grams. New in version 3.0 of iSugars is the ability to create custom serving sizes between 1 and 500 grams in 0.1 gram increments. Users can easily dial in the exact serving size using a slider and buttons for extra fine control of their selection. With the serving size adjusted, users just touch the Record button in the top right to have the revised entry added to their daily intake.

Records of servings are kept for a full year before being automatically deleted from the database. Recorded servings can be edited to change the date or number of servings. They can also be deleted if necessary.

Information is derived from the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference: Sugars, total Content of Selected Foods per Common Measure. There are currently over 1,100 different food servings included, searchable using approximately 2,500 names (some foods are known by different names or how they are prepared, e.g., "Egg, Scrambled" and "Scrambled Egg"). A few of these have as many as six searchable names. The Info page provides additional information about Proteins:

* Access My Records - Provides up to a full year of recorded entries, listed and grouped by date. Users may also view each individual entry in the database. Allowances are made for deleting records, changing the date, and also changing the number of servings.

* Other Important Information - Provides access to a copy of the User Agreement, and links to communicate with the developer about bugs, suggestions or comments.
