You could assigned them a silent ringtone, though. You will see the call in recents, and possibly in messages, but you won't be interrupted by the call. And this would be free,

I've been using Google Voice for years. I can block anybody even of they hide their caller ID. It's a free service and the GV app works perfectly on an iPhone.

Lost talking book files

I uploaded (via iTunes) some ebooks (m4b) to my iPhone 4s.
iTunes show the tranfer successful, but I can't find them
on the phone. I checked in music and books. Any ideas?

Do I need to download a special talkingbook reader?

sincerely

You confused me, ebooks are digital publications consisting of text and images, but your last sentence describes audio books.

Have you tried syncing the books a second time. Sometimes they don't move over on the first sync and I have never seen a transfer confirmation from iTunes. I have seen indication that the sync is finished, but not confirming success.

The m4b format contains DRM so if you are borrowing the books from someone else, you most likely not be able to listen to them. Where did you acquire the books from the iTunes store or elsewhere. We might be able to help if we know the source.

Could it be from your public library using Overdrive?

I second google voice. However, I think it's no longer going to be free after this year. Sigh

Sorry, I didn't realize the term e(lectronic)Books, excluded
audio books. I found them. Click Music.
Click "more", and it shows Audiobooks.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Sincerely

iCloud Push question

Posted by: "myhandle2001" RGE102840@cs.com   myhandle2001

Y'all:
I just set up iCloud today. When trying to sync Contacts, Calendar, Bookmarks, etc, I'm able to "push" between my iPhone and iPad, but nothing gets pushed from or to my iMac desktop.
I set up iCloud on the desktop, and in "Settings" it shows all the desired switches to be on,
but nothing seems to go to or from the desktop.
Any ideas?
