By "locked," do you mean protected by a password?

If so, have you considered the possibility that you have a stolen iPhone?

As other posts note here, "locked" usually means a phone is restricted to a single carrier, e.g., AT&T or Verizon. Your post sounds like you are describing something else.

Thank you. I see serial number.
What is the unique identification number: IMEI? ICCID?

Can a thief get around this by swapping the SIM?

IMEI, and no, this is part of the phone not the SIM card.

IMEI is International Mobile Equipment Identity which can not be changed by SIM and is unique. However, I am told that China make pirated handsets have some stolen identities.

Well hidden groups?

I am one of those users who do not realize groups is available? Where
can I find out more infromation about them? I'm assuming you mean you
can create groups on your phone?

Thanks!

Yes, and then you switch back to your regular account when you are
finished with the shared account.

Like I said before, I have read posts on this, but have not done it myself.

Otherwise everyone has to email additions and changes to everyone
else, and set up groups, which is well hidden by Apple, and so many
new and existing users don't realize is available.

There is always more than one way of doing things. We're here to share
and see if someone else has a better idea.

I believe they have to be set up on your Mac. I don't know if they can be set up on a Windows PC.

If you open Contacts on your Mac, there is a red-ribbon "bookmark" with the silhouette of two people. Click on it and it will open the Groups page, there is a plus sign on the bottom left to create a new group. You include a person in a group by drag and drop on the groups page.

Susan are you speaking of Contacts Plus Plus by Zhong Zhang?

If so it is a iOS app and so also available to Mac users. There does not seem to be a big rush to review it since it has total of one review in over a month when it was released. Could be, not many people use Groups.

Weird email message

Posted by: "Robert Poland" rpoland@usa.net   rpoland

Wed Apr 11, 2012 8:40 am (PDT)

Hi,

On my iPad 2 mail I have a message labeled "(No Sender), (No Subject), This message has no content.".

It shows as not read and remains that way even when selected.

When I select it the main screen shows "No Message Selected".

If I select it and then select Edit then Delete, nothing happens

Is there a way to get rid of it?

I'm back,

I switched from "Back up to iCloud" to "Back up to this computer" and the message went away.

I switched back and it is still gone.

Looks like it was another anomaly in iCloud.

It is not gone, the sender and subject have appeared.

This is a bug of the way Mail handles threads and people stealing threads by changing an existing post from a thread instead of starting with a new email.

I meant to say that if you turn off the threading, the email made from a stolen thread will appear. If you look at the full headers you will find the info on the original thread.

Verizon Wireless on Wednesday confirmed that it will soon begin
charging subscribers a $30 upgrade fee when they purchase new wireless
equipment on contract. Verizon is currently the only major carrier that
does not charge customers a fee when upgrading their devices on a new
two-year contract â€" AT&T and Sprint each charge customers $36 to
upgrade to a new device on contract, and T-Mobile charges an $18
upgrade fee. ”On April 22, Verizon Wireless is implementing a $30
upgrade fee for existing customers purchasing new mobile equipment at a
discounted price with a two-year contract,” the carrier said in a
statement. “This fee will help us continue to provide customers with
the level of service and support they have come to expect which
