Going back more than 30 years, Apple has split its stock three times:
June 16, 1987 (2 for 1 split)
June 21, 2000 (2 for 1 split)
Feb. 28, 2005 (2 for 1 split)
The most recent split (2005) brought the stock price to $42.81.
The stock closed today at $636.23.
Don't argue about it; look it up.

I posted a similar query to this list recently - no cloud or synching
involved - just my lone desktop iMac. I noticed a number of entries I
made had disappeared.
The closest I got to a reason for this was several posts which
pointed me to forums/articles where similar disappearances had been
reported - nobody know why.
Apart from my sympathies, all I can offer is the fact that problem
may not necessarily be anything to do with iCloud...

I took a look at it. Not that this is relevant to its value as an analytic tool, but its icon is amateurish and *ugly*.

I'm aware that it isn't 'anti' anything, however, that is how it is named.

yes there is, its called shell scripts. Bash is the shell you are most
likely using, so look up "bash scripts" in your favourite search engine.
You will find plenty of guides, so pick one you like the look of. For
instance.

iTunes Update fails
Posted by: "Anna Larson" pix@maksimo.de yovard@ymail.com

Hi all,
Today (April 10, 2012) I tried to update iTunes from version 10.5.8 to 10.6.1 in the hope that the full-screen bug in v. 10.6 had been fixed. I used "Software Update" via the Apple menu.
When I double clicked the application icon after the installation iTunes would not start. Instead I got this error message:
"This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version."
You can see a screen shot here:
http://minus.com/mP0rX5OXy/
I don't know what "this language" means because I indeed run the "English version" of the OS X (if there is any such version, that is); all menu commands are by me in English. In the Language & Text Preferences pane in System Preferences I always have U.S. English as the first language.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Anna
OS X 10.6.8
MacBook Pro 17'
PS
The iTunes-installer from the MacUpdate page reinstalled the program. The full-screen bug in iTunes 10.6 has been fixed (in Snow Leopard).

Flatbed scanner question
Posted by: "doubletroubleonthego" doubletroubleonthego@hotmail.com doubletroubleonthego

I would like to buy a flatbed scanner that will scan slides, negatives, old photos, but also scan documents. This scanner must be very compatible with Mac's Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and also produce excellent quality photo/slide scans. I have narrowed my search between Epson and Canon. Does anyone have some insight as to which model number would best suit my needs?
Thank you for your assistance.

I have and have been using for some years now a Epson Perfection 4490 Photo scanner and it has performed well in the area that you want to go.

Quotations in "sig" lines

I have noticed that some members signature lines contain random
quotations. Most of them I like, none I have noticed are contentious of
offensive so I would like to be able to do this too. What is the source
of these little gems, and how does one get them to appear?
