Vishal, the OP is a Windows user and the PhoneView web page says for the Mac,
"Save iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch app data, voicemail, text messages, iMessages, call log, notes, contacts, music and photos to your Mac."
Ken has already suggested he try TouchCopy, just like the FAQ page for PhoneView.
"Q: Is there a Windows version of PhoneView?
A: At this time, PhoneView is Mac-only. We recommend TouchCopy for Windows users."
Good catch, Ken.

Cloud sync & Outlook 2010

I have an iPhone 4S and I sync with iTunes it syncs with my Outlook 2010 Contacts and Calendars on my home computer. I have been syncing with my computer via USB. I am considering switching to the Cloud backup system but have been told that I cannot do this because I also syncing with my Outlook program. Can anyone tell me if this is really the case? If it can be done could someone provide me with a URL with instructions to do so.
Thanks in advance... Bob

Apple has a free utility to achieve this:
<http://www.apple.com/icloud/ >.setup/pc. html
After some three months of use, I'm not yet "dead sure" if it works.
That may well be due to my setup: I installed Outlook 2010 on 4 PCs in
total (and Outlook 2007 on another one), I installed the utility
(driver with control panel) on all of them, along with its Google
counterpart.
Apart from an iPad I use two Windows Mobile devices. I also intend to
add my Android tablet to the club.
I had used Outlook 2003 until then, on a single PC (and the small
stuff).
Somehow I now have duplicate items, notably on my iPad.
On the other hand I seem to have lost quite some items upon
synchronizing with the first hitherto "clean" systems, but I was
fortunate to have a quite recent back-up of Outlook.pst.
(I may not have really lost them. They may reside in personal folders
outside synchronization. I get rather uncomfortable with the addition
of a personality with each e-mail account added.)
The few times that I create appointments on my iPad, I don't see them
in Outlook 2010 at once. From PC to iPad is rather swift.
I haven't yet figured out, what settings to change.
As I said: my personal issues may well be due to my personal
situation.
Whatever, do backup on all devices before taking the plunge.
Hope this helps. :-)

Has anyone else had experience with this? I really can't afford to have a mistake. Is it possible to use both the Cloud & iTunes to backup with for a while? That way is one screwed up I'd have the other to back it up.

Bill,
You posted a similar article on another list, and got dog piled on. Nothing wrong with voicing a different opinion, but you are sharing this with the wrong crowd. Ahh! You crossed posted this to 4 Apple related lists. You sure know how to make friends.
Most Mac users like the "walled garden" Apple has created. Fewer security issues.

Woz has been pretty irrelevant for 30-35 years now....
Pretty much summed it up, other than to say that there are other platforms that are open, you are free to use them if you want.

Isn't that one reason for jailbreak? To make a more open Apple iOS? A lot of people wouldn't know what todo with an open system. Look at all the confused Windows users.
