Heartbeat causes micro color changes on your face. "What's My Heart Rate" uses camera and advanced software algorithm to detect these micro changes, with beat-to-beat accuracy. The algorithm is built based on reliable non-contact photoplethysmography concept. When a user breathes, his chest moves up and down. "What's My Heart Rate" advanced software algorithm tracks the movement of chest to measure his breathing rate.

The app's six different learning games use the sounds and not the names of the letters and lowercase instead of uppercase letters, as kids match the sounds and letters at the beginning, middle, and end of words.
The ABC MAGIC series of apps from Preschool University are among the most popular, free reading apps on the Mac App Store. They have even made it to the top ten list. According to their President, Richard Colombini, "SOUND BEGINNINGS is the culmination of the ABC MAGIC series. It shares a lot with the ABC MAGIC series regarding the work on the initial sounds of letters, but has new material working with the middle and final sounds of words."
He went on to advise, "The sounds of the letters are what give children the tools for reading. Just as counting skills are the foundations of addition, knowing the sounds of the letters are the foundations of reading. Contrary to popular belief and the current educational paradigm, teaching your child the names of the letters DOES NOT help your child learn how to read! For example, finding the first sound of a word, the following lowercase letters appear at the top of the screen, which is in landscape orientation: r, q, y, s, and j. By moving the cursor and touching any letter, the user can hear aloud the sound that the letter makes. Beneath the letters is a photo of a rug and an empty letter box next to it. Touching the picture allows the player to hear the name of the object out loud. Players can activate the picture and each of the letters as many times as they like before dragging a letter down to the empty box. If they have chosen incorrectly, the game lets them try again without any break in the flow of gameplay

Featuring slick, 3D, vector graphics & animation, the player taps the screen to make the speeding hot rod jump into the air as it speeds from left to right. Platforms are short stretches of roadway at ground level or floating in mid air. Gaps between platforms vary in width, and timing is everything to make the jump successfully. At the start of every new platform is a small floating brain, a zombie delicacy, and jumping through it scores extra points. Falling through a gap in the roadway ends the game.
Gameplay provides pulse-pounding action, enhanced by the painstakingly detailed graphics and animation. Unlike most platformers where there is only one goal, not falling, Monster Joyride challenges the player to snag human brains while jumping between platforms. Adding 500 points for each brain, players must maintain a very high level of alertness to avoid jumping at every gap. For example, jumping from a high platform to a low platform takes the hot rod well past the floating brain. The correct play is to not jump, speed off the top platform and land on the bottom platform, while capturing the brain. The game is challenging right from level 1 of 32 levels, and higher levels require superior hand/eye coordination and reflexes. Higher levels require that players make one decision after another in less than a second for each.
Monster Joyride features 4 game worlds with 8 levels each, providing 32 levels of gameplay. The highly detailed worlds include: Graveyard at Dusk, Stalactite Cave, Mountain Road at Night, or City Highway at Dawn. Difficulty for any level can be selected in Settings: Easy, Medium, or Hard. Game Center connectivity and background music can each be toggled On/Off, and sound effects has its own volume slider.

"We designed this application based on observations of our own children's interactions with educational applications and tinkered with the design until we could see that children felt at ease using the application and loved spending time playing with it," says Jana Vosicka, a mother of four and co-founder of 22learn. The first result of the previously-announced partnership with world-renown Bridgeman Art Library, "Prints on Demand" lets users order customized high-quality reproductions of key works of art from within the app.
Ashland, Oregon - The creators of the popular "Art Authority" app line today announced immediately availability of a "Prints on Demand" feature in Art Authority for iPad, Apple's "Best iPad Reference app" of 2011. The first result of the previously-announced partnership with world-renown Bridgeman Art Library, "Prints on Demand" lets users order customized high-quality reproductions of key works of art from within the app. The new version of the app (4.7) also adds features from Apple's new iOS 6, including integrated Facebook support.
Prints on Demand adds an ORDER button to major works of art displayed by the app. The user taps the button and provides custom details of the print they would like: size, paper type (including a canvas option) and framing. They provide billing and shipping information and place the order. A high-end print is created, utilizing a Bridgeman-provided ultra-high resolution image of the work, and the expertise of local print partner The Image Collective. The final product is shipped directly to the customer.
The Prints on Demand service can also be accessed by any Internet user through the new Art Authority community Web site. The service is available throughout the US, with plans to add Canada within a month, and other countries after that.

The partnership with Bridgeman Art Library has also resulted in the addition of thousands of retina-display-quality images to the Art Authority database. In addition to displaying these new images, Art Authority for iPad 4.7 adds support for Apple's new iOS 6 operating system, including its integrated social networking features. Users can easily post information on any work they are viewing to their Facebook or Twitter account.
Art Authority for iPad 4.7 is available immediately through the iTunes App Store for $9.99. Upgrades from previous versions are free. Details are available on the Art Authority Web site.
