MyEnglishLite is designed for people who are familiar with the English alphabet, and is ideal for people who have some reading skills and want to English study to further improve their reading. The app allows you to add books into the app that searches for difficult words and saves them in the dictionary. The app then shows the definition of these words in highlighted colors, and can even arrange the words with frequency they appeared in the book. It serves as the perfect way to learn difficult words before you even start reading the book. It also indicates the difficulty level of reading a book along with collecting and highlighting difficult words.
MyEnglishLite is designed for grownups of age 17 and above, especially who are non-native to the English language and are having problem reading newspapers, magazines and books, and often gets stuck at a rarely used word with unusual pronunciation. The app first analyzes the whole book and tells you how many words you may not be familiar with, based on the level you set in the application while reading English books. You can then learn the meaning of these words and how they are correctly pronounced.
You can also manually add the meaning of new words yourself and expend its dictionary as well as your vocabulary. Simply go to 'My Menu' in the MyEnglishLite app to add the meaning of a word. The new version of the app also allows you to add the 'Exam' feature to test your skill level and check how much you have learned from the app. It support books in .txt format and you can add upto 3 books in Lite version of MyEnglishLite.

Math Swipe Jr is an innovative educational game for children learning and/or struggling with beginning math such as Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, or Division. The original concept of the game was envisioned by developer Michael Cozzolino of Big Monk Games approximately three years ago and has now come to be.
The concept behind Math Swipe Jr. is simple. A number is given to the player to answer. Numbers and Operators are on the screen. The player swipes accross the numbers and operators needed to arrive at the answer. When swiped the images explode and make a tone to acknowledge correct and incorrect answers. Available are 5 different "levels" to play. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and all operators available on screen at once.
Each is a timed excersise and is Game Center enabled as well as saving scores locally to the device. Negative numbers are not dealt with as this is more of an early concept of numbers for young children and the idea is to grow with speed and accuracy similar to the flash cards idea.
Big Monk Games uses the iToque2D game technologies provided by Garage Games exclusively for their apps at this time. Best known for their iPad only App "Cat Games". A games designed specifically for cats, Big Monk Games plans to continue iOS development and start Windows PC development using Torque 3D. Big Monk Games has now released 4 app for the iOS platform with the 5th being planned for late 2012 release.

Reston, Virginia - Software and Computer Systems Company, LLC, (SCSC) has released a new version of Scannerz with FSE-Lite for the Mac OS X Operating System. The new version of Scannerz fixes some bugs for users with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and the package now includes their book titled "Hard Drive Troubleshooting." Scannerz is an analysis tool utilizing advanced diagnostic algorithms developed by SCSC that analyzes not only the hard drive, but the circuitry supporting the drive. Unlike other hard drive tools on the market, Scannerz is a hardware oriented tool with the sole purpose of detecting problems and helping the user isolate their actual cause before attempting a repair. FSE-Lite, which is a file system events monitor, can help isolate applications that may be generating excessive drive activity and misleading a user into believing their system has problems when none actually exist.
"Scannerz is fault detection software for the hard drive and supporting components, it's not just surface scanning software. Our book, 'Hard Drive Troubleshooting,' along with Scannerz and FSE or FSE-Lite can help people isolate the causes of problems they're having by taking a systems approach to the problem rather than assuming the hard drive itself is the culprit. People very often think they have hard drive problems when in fact they're not being caused by the drive but supporting components, such as faulty cables, bad connectors, or faulty logic board traces," stated an SCSC spokesman. "I don't know how many times people have contacted us and sworn they had a bad hard drive and replaced it only to find the problems still persist. Our new book combined with our products, can provide a systematic approach to solving these problems, often without spending money on parts."
"The scope of the book covers everything from basic troubleshooting to advanced troubleshooting. It also includes sections on software and power system problems that might make it appear that a drive problem exists when one doesn't. In our opinion, the vast majority of tests identified in the book can be done by nearly anyone at any skill level. However, some of the procedures identified in the advanced troubleshooting section of the book may require unit disassembly to be done properly. The product Scannerz is, itself, a product which is very easy to use."
"The update to Scannerz fixes some minor bugs related to launching a summary test report when Scannerz finished a scan on a hard drive using normal mode. All currently licensed commercial users have either been sent the update already, or if they're recent customers, then they will already have the most recent version. All of SCSC's commercial applications have been certified by us to work on OS X versions 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), and 10.7 (Lion) on all Mac systems capable of supporting those operating system versions. As always, all updates to Scannerz version 1.2 are free of charge to all commercially registered users."
