I also have an iPad1 & iPad3, as well as a still-going-strong Touch2. I use
them in different places for different things. When I'm going somewhere that
I might be "stuck" for a while but not want to take an iPad, I carry one (or
even both) of the Touches for entertainment -- so I don't risk running down
the phone battery, and I don't need online access if I have some e-books &
games to keep me occupied at, for example, waiting-in-line or
hanging-around-ER (for hours).

To add to the belt & suspenders approach, I also have a battery-backup in my
purse. :-)

Interesting that you use both the iPod touch and the iPhone...

Is there anything that the Touch can do that the iPhone cannot do, or is it the ability to use both at once, or is there some other use that I cannot fathom??

I use a simple "Flip Phone", so I do not understand your experience.

The upgrade to iOS 6 went well. Now the Touch wants me to enter my
password but the email it shows is from the loaner device I had. I
thought I got rid of that info when I got my own Touch but heck if I can
find where to change it. Looked in iTunes too. Thanks for any help I get.
