Yes you need to have the Pages app on the iPad. Just an FYI, dropbox is
available on the iPad also.
If you have iCloud enabled on the mac, make sure that documents are turned
on in the iCloud prefs, also this needs to be turned on, on the iPad, then
the documents that you create on the mac, can be used on the iPad.

Yes, I've been using Dropbox for many of the documents I save for the iPad - recipes mostly. At this point I don't think I need Pages on the iPad but I'll get it if I need to create a document over there. I've got Notes for text but I can't save images there - like a photo of the jalapeno-cheese bisquits. I just don't know as I'll ever create a Pages document with the iPad. Oh well. I can get it when I need it.

Another use for pages on the iPad is, if you happen to get a Word document
in an email you can open it using pages or you can create a new document
and save it as a word document and email to someone that has word only.

I was referring to when asked to re-start your device and then continue in the app that you were in. No mention of what to restart other than what I had mentioned.

What app are you using when you see this message? And on what device? It seems to me messages like that usually refer to either the device you're using or a device connected to the one you're using, but a lot probably depends on the context.

It just occurred to me, the OP might like an example or three of what a
"device" might be referring to. 'Device' is a singularly non-descriptive
and vague term.

I'm missing how this is sensationalized; looks like pretty straightforward reporting. There's no headline that iPhone production is stopping or suggesting Apple is going down the tubes or anything. 1,000 people rioting is a lot, ( just heard on the radio that it might have been 2,000) and it quotes Chinese media (hardly objective there, but) as reporting that the response was 5,000 police officers, which sounds pretty big. The story reported the incident. And that this kind of civil unrest is rare is worth reporting.

What's sensationalized?

Howdy.

I think you're right.

I'm suffering from a suspicious surfeit of similar sounding silly
syllables (errrr, letters).

Howdy.

I just came across this word.

nomophobia

the fear of not having or not being able to use a mobile phone.

Has anybody come across it?

I can see Androidaphobia but the iPhone is pretty easy to use the term
du jour is iPhonafilia.
