Shake your device into Airplane mode with ‘Shake Air’ Posted: 02 Mar 2013 01:12 PM PST For some reason, Apple insists on keeping frequently used settings toggles buried deep within the Settings app. From the Lock screen, doing things like enabling/disabling Bluetooth or Wi-Fi take more than a few steps. Activating a device’s Airplane mode, however, is a bit easier, as it sits on the top level in the Settings app. But for those who still find the process to be a pain, we’ve got a new jailbreak package for you called Shake Air…(...) The folks over at Panic, the Oregon-based software company behind Mac apps like Coda and Transmit, were doing some digging around in Apple’s Lightning Digital AV Adapter, and discovered it contains a tiny computer. Now, we know Apple has a penchant for embedding authentication chips and such in its cables, as a way of controlling third party iOS accessories. But this is completely different. Take TeleSound as a prime example. With a goal of $100,000 and nearly a month to reach it, TeleSound is a little accessory that turns Emoji icons into audio, making it easy for your friends to not only send you silly little pictures, but to also annoy your cat in the process.
