When I click on the link, it brings up the Open or Save File box. I didn't do either, but that's what I get.

That is really bizarre. That link consistently fails the same way for me even if I enter it manually in the Safari URL window. I also don't understand why I get some messages in HTML rather than text, which I also prefer, since I'm signed up to get messages in "Traditional" not "Advanced (something)" format.
[Note that I say that, but when I just tried to find the page again where it shows those settings, I couldn't find it. I hate the way Yahoo has set things up...it's like a maze!]

Mike, is it time to clear browser cache and perhaps yahoo.com
cookies? Or, for troubleshooting, try the link in a different browser?

I, too, am signed up for "Traditional" format in all my Yahoo groups.
That doesn't stop the HTML. But that setting, and my Eudora settings
(not to show formatting), keep things as simple as anything will
allow these days. And if I need to see an HTML message in all its
formatted glory, with Eudora I can choose to view it in my browser.

Yes--I first get the "Sign in to Yahoo!" page
<https://login.yahoo.com/?.done=http%3A%2F%2Fgroups.yahoo.com%2Fneo%2Fgroups%2Fmacsupportcentral%2Ffiles%2Ffaq.htm>.

When I log in, I get the error message.

Ah, right you are. I hadn't tried to log in. I get the "invalid path" message as well, after logging in to Yahoo.

I have no idea how to clear yahoo.com cookies, but I tried the FAQ link in Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera, and got precisely the same error message (invalid link) in all of them.

....

Okay, I learned how to delete history and caches and cookies, and it still gives exactly the same error: "invalid path".

No, and I just tried it again. Still OK.

Maybe a small screw driver can pry it apart? However, USB extension cables are not all that expensive, so if you cant then no big deal.

There some topics where Wikipedia struggles to be neutral (because of "edit
wars", etc.) but on tech stuff it's usually excellent.

That description would fit the ports on an iMac, but they are, of course on the monitor of the iMac, just as is everything but the keyboard and mouse. It's more appropriate to say the ports are on the computer than on the monitor. The real question is what is the second "monitor"? Is it a Samsung monitor, a Dell monitor, another iMac, or what? If it's a true stand-alone monitor I think it is unlikely that it has an ethernet port.

Okay, my second monitor is also a Thunderbolt display, and its ethernet port works as well as if it were on the host iMac.

Yes, you could use both ethernet ports (one on iMac and one on display) but
what other ethernet devices do you have? And your router has 2 or 3 free
ports so why not use them anyway?

I earlier versions of iOS, I could double click the home button,
press on the icon of an app until it wiggled, and then close it.
How do I close an app running in the background in iOS7? I want
to ensure apps aren't running in the background and using
battery.

I have searched Apple support and I haven't found an answer.
Thank you.

There are tons of messages about this but I suggest getting the manual
which will answer not only this, but other questions you might have. iPhone
