I'm sure there are some apps it won't run at all; there are some that only
run the older versions, which I still have installed. But it didn't suddenly
stop doing what it was doing the day before iOS7 came out (or iOS6 or iOS5
for that matter). It isn't any more limited than it was the day I got it --
unless you compare it to something that came 1-2-3-4 years later.
I'm not saying anyone shouldn't buy a newer device (I plan to myself) --
but the excuse that "the old one won't work" just doesn't hold water.

Is there some feature, or some app, that will only run under 7
that you *must* have?
I'm still using a Touch *2nd* gen under iOS *4* -- it still does
plenty of things just fine.
My 4th gen Touch also still runs as well today as it did yesterday.
I even run an older version of an app on it *on purpose* 'cause
I like that version better than the "new improved" one available
for it.

I talk to a help at 800 my apple. If anybody on list has any ideas let me
know, please. If not, 300 dollars or so. and the woman said to me that
because it is a 4th generation not a 5th generation would be incompatible
with them. that is wa4cvv@yahoo.com

I'm thinking of selling my original ipod touch to a friend; can folks
suggest what to replace it with? Should I stick with ipod or look at
a smartphone or tablet?
One reason I am thinking of switching from Apple is they're made in China.
Samsung is made in S. Korea and HTC is made in Taiwan. They are our
friends. I don't think China is.
