"CatCity is a fun, exciting new twist on the 3D single/multi-player maze game with a 'capture the flag' twist for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with eye-catching graphics. It is Retina ready, offers beautiful 3D graphics, lots of fun characters, is multi-player and offers randomized treat placement and intelligent enemies that keeps the game interesting." And don't forget the catchy music that you'll be humming long after you've turned the game off.

Released March 27, this new game follows you, playing as one of 6 cats, through a maze of fun game play. Curto continues, "Find your favorite items that Buster stole, all while avoiding Buster! The object of the game is to be the first one to navigate your cat so he finds all his favorite things. But, don't think it's going to be easy. The items are randomly scattered throughout the maze and you have to make sure you avoid Buster the bulldog." The game doesn't end though when or if Buster catches you. Curto explains, "But, you will have to start over and get all your favorite things again. Along the way, you can pick up fish treats that can later be converted to coins if you win."

One of the kid-friendly features that CatCity offers is a Kids Mode. Curto explains, "Buster stressing you out? Turn him off and play a few rounds without Buster chasing you. You can always turn Buster back on. (Kids Mode is currently for single player only.)" Multi-player capabilities are available so it's easy to play against your friends, too. CatCity is a Universal app that can be downloaded onto iPhone 3GS or newer, iPod touch 3rd Generation or newer (32GB and 64GB only), iPad 1 and 2.

As an added incentive, Nitro1 are offering specials to new app buyers. "During our launch, we are giving everyone 500 Coins to start. Use these coins towards unlocking new characters and levels and other items. Earn more coins by winning the game and having your treats converted to coins. Or, if you're a little impatient, just visit the coin store to unlock those other characters and levels right away" says Curto. Coin packs can be purchased or earned through social sharing.

The game is currently priced at $0.99 and Curto explains that "CatCity has many characters, levels, and features that are immediately available. Like many games in the App Store, there is the option of purchasing extra Coins to enhance gameplay."

"Little kids and big kids alike will love this app," says Canadian mom and blogger Tiffany Squires. "Use it to teach feelings and emotions, tell stories, recreate fairy tales and help story comprehension, or just have some fun."

Unlike traditional felt boards, this digital version offers many opportunities for customization due to it's large selection of characters, props and backgrounds. "I was truly amazed at the in-depth customization you can get into with it," writes Lisa Gallegos in her blog, Seven Yuck Mouths and Autism. "I played for hours myself! Then, of course, the kids wanted to know what mommy was doing and I haven't seen the iPad since!"

In addition, Felt Board takes full advantage of the iPad's ability to make technology accessible to children. "This app is so creative and fun," says special education teacher, Jennifer Carney. "My students are non-verbal or have very low expressive speech and language skills. Felt Board allows us to create stories, pictures or scenes that we can connect to literature or experiences. I've found it a great way to build vocabulary and elicit expressive speech and language. I have even made a class book using print outs of my student's creations."

Educational technology specialist Andrea Gardner of Applicable2U agrees that Felt Board offers benefits to students at home and in the classroom: "Upon entering this application, users will immediately get a craft like feeling as every aspect of this educational app is created with felt. Use your fine motor and hand-eye coordination skills to develop amazing stories as you tap, drag, drop, pinch and zoom pieces into a scene. Felt Board for iPad is a very user friendly application for children young and old. It is an application that encourages all learning styles as children can work collaboratively or independently."

Since it's release in March, Felt Board has been well received by children, parents and educators. Educators appreciate the app's versatility as a teaching tool and storytelling aid. Children and parents enjoy the open ended opportunity for creativity and imaginative play. "I can see all sorts of uses for this app," writes Mary Mahon, in her review for the iMum.
