Leamington Spa, United Kingdom - The Leamington Spa based company has hired not one, not two, but five incredibly talented individuals to join them in their path to create innovative and ground breaking mobile games ready to blow up the App Store.

As announced on their website kwalee.com last week, James Horn has arrived to lead the art department to create visually stunning games. His experience within a team designing DJ Hero I and II and working on major Codemasters games, including Colin McRae: Dirt and TOCA: Race Driver 3, will help create mobile games that draw players into an enjoyable and unique gaming experience.

Stepping in as Interactive Designer is the hugely talented Adam Philbin with a degree in Animation and invaluable experience in the advertising and gaming industries since 2001. Adam has created number one iPhone games at Neon Play, with downloads of millions, including "Traffic Panic 3D" which entered the Top 10 in global app stores.

David Darling, Kwalee CEO and Codemasters co-founder is excited to have Adam on board:

Senior Programmer Pedro Caria 'parachuted' in from Portugal to join the Kwalee development team. He has experience producing software ranging from industrial machines to websites, as well independently coded and created his own mobile game "Nut Factory".

Pete arrived at Kwalee with a degree in Computer Science specialising in real-time 3D applications, and experience at console game developer, Eurocom.

Evan previously worked making software used for computers in police cars and PDAs carried by officers. Starting at Kwalee has allowed Evan to apply his programming talents into his passion of games.

The Frog Prince or the Princess and the Frog, is a story that has been found in oral traditions and folktales since the 1600's. The Brothers Grimm wrote out the first definitive version of the classic fairy tale in 1812, and it has been popular for its humor, imagination, and moral lessons for two centuries hence. Unbeknownst to most modern readers, in this first published version there is no hint of the princess kissing the frog. The story has changed and evolved over time, and so it is quite fitting that Grimm's Frog King 1.0 includes the newest, postmodern re-telling, which is more incisive and funny than any previous treatment.

In addition, they will be learning timeless lessons such as: don't make judgments based solely on appearances and promises should neither be made nor broken lightly. In view of these figures, it's hardly surprising that Pinch Multimedia is the very first Bolivian mobile app development company to have a paid app on the App Store. Zabala was referring to the May 17th one-day promotional giveaway of the full version of the Converter! By midnight of the 17th, Converter! had been downloaded 32,933 times, landing it in the number 6 spot among productivity apps in the U.S., moving it ahead of giants EverNote and Dropbox. The players take turns secretly drawing body parts. When the last player has completed the feet, the whole picture is revealed and the results are often funny, crazy and unexpected figures.

In "Funny Figures" you choose a drawing mode and then start drawing freely - exactly like the traditional game. But what gives the app an extra dimension is the ready-made illustrations that are included.

Illustrator Malin Rosenqvist has produced 20 unique figures for the app that the players can choose to use. Among the figures are a dog, a duck, a ballerina, a fisherman - and even a hipster(!). The ready-made images make the game especially suitable for iPhone, where drawing is otherwise difficult and messy. Further, the ready-made images also make the game suitable for younger players.

The Gamma Project today announces my Travel Assistant 1.8.1, an update to their popular travel app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. my Travel Assistant is a professional app for global travelers that integrates into a single, convenient package a smart, multi-currency expense tracker with automatic currency conversion, a 156-currency monetary exchange rate converter and a 51-language translator. This update brings usability improvements and bug fixes.

This update brings several enhancements and bug fixes:

* Frequently used currencies are automatically added to the top of the currency list. This allows you to quickly access your preferred currencies

* Improved and leaner Settings UI

* Fixed an incompatibility issue with older devices

* Fixed the issue when total expenses were not updated after changing existing expenses

Designed as an intelligent assistant for international travelers, the app stores all expenses in both the local and converted, home currencies. With a high-end, dark wood-grain GUI, the app includes no instructions for use; all operations are intuitive and trouble-free. One-time set-up includes entering the user's language, home currency, and the frequency of exchange rate updates.

The designers have paid great attention to human factors.

For example, English, Spanish, French, Italian and German appear in their respective places in the scrolling list that appears by touching "Your Language", but the group of five most common languages also appears at the head of the list. Similarly, the app defaults to US dollars, with the yen, euro, swiss francs, british pounds and Canadian dollar leading an alphabetical list of 156 different currencies. Used currencies are added automatically to the top of the currency list, so next time you can quickly access them without having to scroll to the list again.

Set-up complete, the home page displays four buttons: Travel Expenses, Currency Converter, Translator, and Quick Add. A summary of the last expense is also shown on the main screen for convenience. The quick add function allows fast expense entry, and goes straight to the entry page of the last trip.

Travel Expenses is the heart of the app, and the Travel Expenses page contains an artfully designed scrolling list of all trips ordered by date by default. The order of trips and expense items can be customized. The user may substitute any photo or graphic for the generic icon displayed with each travel expense listing, which includes the trip's label (i.e. the country or city), the description of the expense (e.g. work, personal, etc.), the date and the total amount of all expenses, automatically converted to the user's home currency.

Selecting any entry brings up an itemized listing of each individual expense for that particular trip. When entering an expense in the local currency the user may enter a description using the pop-up alphanumeric keyboard, or choose a predefined category. Included, with appropriate icons, are: Transportation (Flight), Cash Withdrawal, Taxi, Local Transportation, Hotel, Camping, Fuel, Road Tolls, Souvenirs, Food & Drink, Treatment (Hospital), Shopping, Entertainment, Additional Fees, and Other. Sums are entered using the built-in, multi-function calculator. Both the trips and the expenses scrolling list is fully editable, and displays individual expenses in both local and home currencies, plus the date and description. Expense items also display the corresponding category.

The currency converter function features side-by-side odometer displays for going from any one of 156 currencies to another. The large entry keypad also includes a calculator function. Results are displayed in the dual odometer highlight window with the currency listing. For example, entering 1,555 displays "Japanese Yen - 1,555 JPY" on the left cylinder, and "US Dollars - 20.202 USD" on the right. You can quickly change the direction of the conversion by tapping the arrow button situated in the center of the odometer display.

The translator function employs two text fields, each with a labeled flag beside it. The user selects his native language/flag and enters the word or phrase to be translated in the text field. The translator supports copy and paste functionality, allowing translation of eMails or web content. Selecting any of 51 languages displays the translation in red type in the second text field.

Online connection is not required - the only exception being the built-in translator. In this case the app relies on previously fetched currency rates.
