California based Flying Pig today announces Edouard 1.3, the third minor update to their complete all-in-one, multi-users, client-server, business management solution for Mac OS X. Edouard was developed specifically to cover sales, purchases, manufacturing, inventory management, contact management, accounting, statistics and more. Version 1.3 brings many bug fixes and improvements as well as introduces new features such as sales returns and partial sales credit notes.

Other improvements include:
* Dynamic demo server loading, offering more demo servers automatically
* All time access to demo servers - even after purchasing - for safe testing outside production environment
* Major refactoring of the templates editing UI

Edouard 1.3 comes with a server update - Edouard Server 1.3 - which includes:

* Separation of Database and Server services at launch and install

* Server-side license, removing the burden of installing it on each client computers

With the license now server-side, customers who purchased prior versions of Edouard can install their current license on Edouard Server 1.3. While previous releases were focused on the creation of symmetric ornamental patterns in the plane the new version enters the 3D world. With a totally intuitive user interface the app in addition allows to create stunning symmetric patterns on a sphere. With your finger you draw simple strokes on your iPad or iPhone. iOrnament automatically repeats them over and over by reflections, and rotations to form intriguing geometric patterns. On the one hand the user has full control over the drawing process on the other hand he will often be surprised and inspired by surprising coincidences due to the symmetric repetitions.
Over the last few months iOrnament attracted creative people from all over the world. The related Ornament World Exhibition has in the meantime submissions from more than 30 different countries. The 3D part of iOrnament is based on the theory and symmetry properties of Platonic solids. Besides of the mentioned two main new features Version 1.4.1 of iOrnament contains many improvements like layers, brushes, richer color support and higher resolution of the drawings. Especially popular amongst users is AppZapp's bargain service. It provides information about apps that are being offered at a reduced price, or completely free, due to marketing promotions.

They are also apparent in the completely revised display of comments, and on the community profile page. The list of collections is presented in an improved version as well. It now features a new detail view, which provides even more clarity.
* New App Detail Page: AppZapp offers a detail page for each app, which supplies additional information, including a price development chart for the previous months, or a video. The detail page now features a modular set up, so not needed information may be hidden. At the same time, in-app purchases are offered in such a way that they are apparent at first glance. Screenshots may be viewed in full-screen mode, videos in landscape mode. The most popular comments are presented in a preview.
* Deleting / Editing Comments: New comments can now be edited for 15 minutes or deleted immediately.
* New Chat Feature: This is probably the most important function of the update. The app lets members of the AppZapp community chat directly, so they may exchange information about new apps or bargains. It is also possible to send apps and collections as a chat message.
AppZapp for the iPhone and AppZapp HD for the iPad are being offered as free, ad-supported apps. Advertising banners may be removed for $0.99 (USD).

Revere, Massachusetts - Indie developer James Hollender's Life Inventory apps literally took more than 25 years to become a reality. The Life Inventory apps may be complex, but once understood are amazing. These apps guide users in creating their own Life Inventory, another term for Moral Inventory, which can provide greater self understanding of personality, strengths and weaknesses leading to a better quality of life. James Hollender attended several of George's workshops on how to properly prepare a Moral Inventory. He then got the idea that it would be great if this could be done on his iPhone, but just how to accomplish that seemed impossible. It was when the iPad was introduced that he finally had the screen space needed to convert this spreadsheet into an app using an underlying database to keep track of all the information collected. Several friends helped with testing the app and it quickly made it's way into the App Store. Eventually James found a way to accomplish the same task using the smaller iPhone screen size. The total time to create these apps, especially including all the work done by George, literally took more than 25 years.
Additional security has been added to the Life Inventory for iPad app which doesn't allow any access to the app at startup until proper authentication has been supplied, but only if the user has password protection implemented. This was a feature requested by a user who sometimes wants to loan out his iOS device, but doesn't want the other user to see anything, even the instructions. A similar upgrade is in the works for the iPhone and iPod touch version.
The Life Inventory for iPad app was rated as the 3rd Top iOS App for 2012:

AppTracker Deluxe allows users to search for and start tracking the price of their favourite App Store applications. In today's market, websites and apps trying to provide the consumer with App Store deals, are abundant. However, we often found that they only provided specific applications, and more often than not, for a very limited time. Therefore, the consumer had very little choice in which deals they found and were very unlikely to catch a deal they were actually interested in. It was with this problem in mind that Handyman Interactive began work on AppTracker.
AppTracker Deluxe allows users to search for their favourite apps on the App Store and then set a target price at which they are happy to purchase the app. Our on-the-go servers constantly check the app store prices against the user's target prices, waiting for a change. If the price is reached or even surpassed, our server sends a push notification to the user, alerting them to the change. From within our app the user can then buy the application through the App Store.
We love the idea of the user starting to track several apps on-the-go, with their mobile, forgetting all about them and continuing with their life; while one by one they decrease in price amongst the various developer sales pleasantly surprising the user when they're alerted. We encourage the building of a small library of apps which interest the user, and so have provided features to help make the user experience easier and simpler, including sorting options for their tracking list and colour coding.
With the just released AppTracker 1.1 we completely redesigned the application adding in our own custom user interface, making the app even clearer than before. It also added even more user features, such as social media integration, App Store windows built directly into the app and a tutorial.

The Push Service even allows messages to be addressed to recipients in particular towns or regions. RichTalk also enables content to be made available to users as a supplement that they can buy via in-app purchases. RichTalk sends potential customers a preview of such "premium-content" as required via push services onto the users' smartphone and handles receipt validation on all supported app stores.
