I will be buying the 4s by Friday (along with an iPad) and am wanting to trickle my 4 iPhone to the other person on my line. I've done this (at least) 3 times.
Both the 4 and the 4S take micro-SIM card. They are interchangeable.
Back up your 4.
Get the 4S on the family plan.
Switch the SIM cards.
Restore the new 4S from the backup from the 4.
Restore the 4 "as new".
Done.

They don't have a sim card, at least not that I know of, Archie.
Jim, do I use that same method if there are no sim cards?
Thanks

IPhone 4s has a Sim card as it is Cdma + Gsm. I feel Cdma should work with
Sim card. However I suggest you have it set without Sim as Sim slot can be
free.

Oh. Right. Verizon.
Actually, even the Verizon 4S does have a SIM, but this technique won't work exactly for Verizon.
Since I'm on AT&T, I don't know how easy it is to do with "the other guys"' clearly you would have to take the issue of number-switching up with the carrier.

Steve Jobsâ favorite band just released 27 ringtones

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: Steve Jobs ¢â' '¹ favorite
band just released 27 ringtones via 9to5Mac by Jordan Kahn on 2/22/12
Today The Beatles announced the band ¢â' '¹s 27 United States and United
Kingdom No. 1 hits are available as ringtones exclusively through
iTunes (iTunes Link). The 30-second ringtones are downloadable now
through iTunes on your iOS device and include hits such as ¢â' '¼Can ¢â' '¹t Buy
Me Love, ¢â' '½ ¢â' '¼All You Need Is Love, ¢â' '½ ¢â' '¼Yesterday, ¢â' '½ ¢â' '¼Eleanor Rigby, ¢â' '½ and 23
others. A full list of all 27 ringtones is after the break. If Steve
were alive, these would undoubtedly be his ringtones of choice for his
iPhone.
Jobs ¢â' '¹ love for The Beatles is documented in Walter Isaacson ¢â' '¹s Steve
Jobs biography where we learned Jobs kept seven different albums from
the band on his iPad. He even compared his creative process and
business model to The Beatles describing the total being ¢â' '¼greater than
the sum of the parts. ¢â' '½ That is probably a big part of the reason Apple
fought so hard to ultimately secure exclusive rights to the band ¢â' '¹s
music that has lasted since Nov. 2010.
1. ¢â' '¼Love Me Do ¢â' '½
2. ¢â' '¼From Me To You ¢â' '½
3. ¢â' '¼She Loves You ¢â' '½
4. ¢â' '¼I Want To Hold Your Hand ¢â' '½
5. ¢â' '¼Can ¢â' '¹t Buy Me Love ¢â' '½
6. ¢â' '¼A Hard Day ¢â' '¹s Night ¢â' '½
7. ¢â' '¼I Feel Fine ¢â' '½
8. ¢â' '¼Eight Days a Week ¢â' '½
9. ¢â' '¼Ticket to Ride ¢â' '½
10. ¢â' '¼Help! ¢â' '½
11. ¢â' '¼Yesterday ¢â' '½
12. ¢â' '¼Day Tripper ¢â' '½
13. ¢â' '¼We Can Work It Out ¢â' '½
14. ¢â' '¼Paperback Writer ¢â' '½
15. ¢â' '¼Yellow Submarine ¢â' '½
16. ¢â' '¼Eleanor Rigby ¢â' '½
17. ¢â' '¼Penny Lane ¢â' '½
18. ¢â' '¼All You Need Is Love ¢â' '½
19. ¢â' '¼Hello, Goodbye ¢â' '½
20. ¢â' '¼Lady Madonna ¢â' '½
21. ¢â' '¼Hey Jude ¢â' '½
22. ¢â' '¼Get Back ¢â' '½
23. ¢â' '¼The Ballad of John and Yoko ¢â' '½
24. ¢â' '¼Something ¢â' '½
25. ¢â' '¼Come Together ¢â' '½
26. ¢â' '¼Let It Be ¢â' '½
27. ¢â' '¼The Long and Winding Road ¢â' '½

I can find the downloads for the individual songs, not the ringtones. ¢Â Is there a special link? In iTunes the ringtones album is not linked. Nothing shows for ringtones.

Ringtones are purchased through the iPhone:
Settings> Sound> Ringtone> Buy More Tones.
