Back in January we told you that the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) was asking for everyone’s help in its fight to keep jailbreaking legal. It suggested leaving a comment on the Copyright Office’s comment board to show your support.

The board closed on February 10th, and the Copyright Office recently published everyone’s entries. And even though there were only about 700 comments submitted, some big names turned out to defend jailbreaking, including Saurik…(...)

iPhone 4S landing on China Telecom March 9th

At the end of January it was confirmed that China Telecom earned the necessary permits and approval from Apple to host the iPhone 4S on its network. Adding China Telecom as an iPhone 4S carrier, it takes the iPhone 4S exclusivity away from China Unicom.

Tonight, Jim Dalrymple from The Loop reports, and confirmed on China Telecom’s website, the iPhone 4S will be landing on China Telecom March 9th…

CocoaNuts releases iOS 5 betas for Celeste, YourTube, and Mark Read

Fans of the popular Celeste Bluetooth file-sharing app will be happy to hear that the folks over at CocoaNuts have just released a number of updates for their Cydia packages — Celeste included.

It’s a dream come true for any Nintendo fanatic: Pokemon landing on the iTunes App Store. Looking on the App Store’s top-charts might make you believe the day has finally come, but hold tight before pressing that purchase button. It’s a fake.

An app called Pokemon Yellow priced at $0.99 appeared on the App Store over the weekend, quickly rising to number three on the top-paid charts. However, buyers quickly realized that the app wouldn’t even go past the title screen, or launch in some cases…(...)

MyAssistant updated with new features, assorted bug fixes [Updated]

Earlier this month, MyAssistant (aka MySiri) made its way into the Cydia Store. The jailbreak tweak adds a host of new options to your digital assistant, including controls for Settings toggles and Activator events.

Apple building the nation’s largest end user owned solar energy farm

Last Fall, word got out that Apple was planning to build a solar energy farm to power its newly-built data center in North Carolina. The facility, which hosts a bulk of Apple’s iCloud service, went live during the Summer of last year.

According to 9to5Mac‘s Mark Gurman, Apple is going to overhaul the iTunes Store and App Store designs later this year.

The new design of the iTunes Store and App Store is going to be easier to use and be simpler. The ways of finding new content such as songs, videos, and apps is apparently going to be faster and more efficient…(...)

iOS bugs and security flaws are taken seriously by not only customers, but also by Apple. There have been many that allow others to access your information, including contacts and pictures. Most recently, a bug was found that allows anyone to make a FaceTime call on your iOS device.

Today a new security flaw is brought to light by iPhone Islam, where anyone can make a call out and access your iPhone contacts despite any passcode you might have in place.
