We know, these iPad 3 rumors are starting to get a bit ridiculous. In the last two days we’ve seen images of the purported tablet, and learned that its processor may (or may not) be called the A5X.

Now 9to5Mac is reporting that it has come across photos of what appears to be an iPad 3 Retina display production line. The images were uncovered on a Chinese forum along with some interesting details regarding the tablet…(...)

iPad 3 to have A5X processor?

The iPad 3′s processor is assumed to be called the ‘A6′, following Apple’s recent history. The iPhone 4 has the A4 processor and both the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S have the A5 processor. The iPad 3 featuring an A6 processor makes sense.

However, according to a leaked image on Chinese forum WeiPhone, the iPad 3 will have an A5X processor, rather than A6…(...)

Apparently Siri can’t speak Japanese anymore

Remember last week when Siri said she could speak Japanese although she didn’t support the language yet? This was a sure sign of things to come, namely support for Japanese language in the upcoming iOS 5.1 firmware.

Well, it seems that Apple made some adjustments on the servers that power Siri’s responses. If you ask her today what languages she can speak, she will tell you she can only speak German, French, and English. No Japanese anymore…(...)

Yes, you can send files to iOS devices from the beta Messages app that Apple recently released. That much is obvious, as it only makes sense to be able to send photos, sound files, text files, and the like.

What’s a bit stranger is the fact that you can send virtually any type of file from your Mac to an iOS device via Messages.

But don’t get your hopes up too high. There is still a limit as to what you can do with said files in iOS’ Messages app once you receive them…(...)

Apple files complaint against Motorola over FRAND abuse

Well we all saw this coming. Electronista is reporting that Apple has just filed a complaint with the European Commission regarding Motorola’s recent legal actions. The handset-maker won an injunction in Germany last month, resulting in the temporary ban of some of Apple’s products.

But Apple has maintained that the patents that Motorola is asserting against it are industry standard, and therefore fall under FRAND jurisdiction. And since Motorola doesn’t seem to want to offer Apple a FRAND license, Apple went to the EC…(...)
