Caching, filling memory with video in advance of playback, helps ensure smooth video and is a standard feature of most YouTube players. What distinguishes the intelligent caching in FoxTube is that it is tightly integrated with the playlist, so even before the video is played the app can pre-cache the video in the playlist. FoxTube also provides options to change the caching algorithm and detailed information about what is cached. First, users can set different caching rules for 3G vs. WiFi connections. Second, each type of connection can be set to cache the current track, both the current and next track, or all tracks on the playlist. Third, viewers can turn on or off Background Caching when the app is operating in the background. Fourth, a Cache Manager, accessible from user options, allows the user to see exactly how much video is being stored in cache memory, how much of it is from the current playlist, and the amount of available flash memory remaining on the iDevice. All,
unused, or individual cache files can be deleted independently. Users can play their favorite video directly from cache when network conditions are poor or even when offline.

Video screen size is adjustable and may be viewed in either portrait or landscape orientation. The iPhone/iPod version provides a mini player so users can search while playing, while the iPad version is separately designed to take advantage of more screen estate.

The playback speed control lets movie fans analyze their favorite scenes in detail by slowing the video down to 1 fps or use the next/previous frame feature. Audio pitch is preserved when playing 0.5x - 2.0x speed. Users can enjoy instant picture start as they move up or down their playlist, and the search list includes details on caching and videos encoded in HQ. Search results can be viewed by Relevance, Release Date, View Count, or Users' Rating. And Search results can be easily edited with buttons for: Select All, Move, Copy, and Delete. A convenient scene browser displays a filmstrip view with 60/30/15/5/1-second intervals, permitting 1-touch non-linear access. Finally, user options allows the viewer to assign one of 29 different gestures (1-finger tap, 2-finger tap, 3-finger tap, swipe up/down/left/right, diagonal swipes, 90-degree swipes, etc.) to instantly control all playback parameters (set speed, increase speed, back one track, seek forward, scene browser, etc.).

Healthy Habits is an app that helps people reach their goals by changing their habits or default behaviors. Over 75,000 people have downloaded the Healthy Habits apps since launch in April 2011.

From what is known there have been many Moral Inventory spreadsheets circulating unofficially among AA members for at least 50 years in various versions and this app is based on one the developer found to be useful and more comprehensive than most.

George's extensive research resulted in the creation of the "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet, a detailed set of instructions on how to create a Moral Inventory, including several new concepts not directly covered in the AA Big Book: Sources of Anxiety/Excitement as a 4th Category; and a set of Sex Relations exercises. Both of these new elements were discovered to be critical in eventually understanding why we do what we do, the end result of completing your own Moral Inventory.

Anyone, Not Just 12-Steppers, Can Benefit from Completing a Life Inventory:

The process of completing a Life Inventory doesn't directly address addictions specifically, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory app gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before like:

The Vitamin K app allows users to easily find out how much vitamin K there is in over 900 different foods which is critical in helping keep the effectiveness of their blood thinning medications working properly. The new version is updated for iOS 5.

If you take blood thinning medications like Coumadin(R) or Warfarin (also known as Jantoven, Marfarin, Lawarin, Waran and Marevan), then this is an app you will truly make use of on a regular basis. Most lists providing information on the content of vitamin K (K1, K1D & K2) in foods generally contain only a limited number of foods, and often they don't indicate the serving size. It is important to understand that the goal isn't to not eat any foods with vitamin K, but rather to keep relatively constant the amount of vitamin K ingested each day so the amount of Coumadin(R) prescribed can work effectively. This can be different for every person using blood thinning medications, and this is why doctors require occasional blood tests as they indicate if the dosage needs to be adjusted.

All too often we hear that you should stay away from dark green leafy vegetables if you are using Coumadin(R), but there are a host of other foods containing vitamin K. Even the dark green leafy vegetables contain varying amounts of vitamin K. Further, each food has its own characteristics and sometimes whether it is fresh, frozen or canned can make a difference in the vitamin K content. The important thing to understand is you may be inadvertently ingesting something which you think doesn't contain any vitamin K when in fact it does. A good example would be carrots which contain varying amounts of vitamin K. A single baby carrot has only 0.9 mcg (very low) while a cup of canned carrot juice contains 36.6 mcg (high).

The Vitamin K app provides information about foods and how they are rated for Vitamin K content based on preparation and serving sizes. This is provided as a means to assist in deciding which foods to eat if you are using blood thinning medications such as Coumadin(R) or Warfarin. The foods are rated from EXTREMELY LOW to EXTREMELY HIGH in Vitamin K. The following colors help readily identify which is which:

* Black = Rated EXTREMELY HIGH in Vitamin K (700.0 - 1146.6 mcg)
* Dark Red = Rated VERY HIGH in Vitamin K (300.0 - 699.9 mcg)
* Red = Rated HIGH in Vitamin K (25.0 - 299.9 mcg)
* Orange = Rated MODERATELY HIGH in Vitamin K (20.0 - 24.9 mcg)
* Yellow = Rated MODERATE in Vitamin K (15.0 - 19.9 mcg)
* Yellow-Green = Rated MODERATELY LOW in Vitamin K (10.0 - 14.9 mcg)

* White = Rated EXTREMELY LOW in Vitamin K (less than 0.1 mcg)

Information is derived from the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference: Vitamin K Content of Selected Foods per Common Measure. There are currently over 930 different foods included, searchable using approximately 2,500 names (some foods are known by different names or how they are prepared, e.g., "Egg, Scrambled" and "Scrambled Egg"). A few of these have as many as six searchable names. The Info page provides additional information about Vitamin K:

Instant lets user "re-shoot" their digital photo by drag-and-dropping it on to its "camera body". An "undeveloped" film framed with Polaroid classic border will slide out from the bottom of the camera. Slowly the film will "dry" and the "developed" photo will surface eventually, just like the workflow of the real Polaroid camera.

Appcod.es is planning a free online course for indie devs. During the course the participants will work on the marketing aspect of of their apps. Warsaw, Poland - Appcod.es is planning a free online course for indie devs. During that course the participants will work on the marketing aspect of of their apps. The course is intended for indie developers who didn't yet have the time to master the secrets of App Store. We want to give them a few simple techniques, walk them by hand, and answer their questions. We're focusing mostly on non-entertainment product marketing, but all developers are welcome to participate.

They will especially focus on:
* Building a better keyword set / SEO
* Making sure that their sales copy and other marketing materials are right
* Learning how to use the right tracking and sales tools for the job

"There is a plenty of good apps in the store which just don't sell because of a poor marketing. Sometimes it takes just a few tweaks with keywords, description copy or screenshots to go from being broke to being break even" - says Tomasz Kolinko, founder of AppCod.es.
