We listened in on the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference today as Tim Cook fielded some questions about the current state of Apple. Cook has spoken at the conference in the past, but this is his first time doing so as Apple’s CEO.

As most of you know, Apple has been catching a lot of flack recently regarding the poor working conditions at some of its overseas manufacturing plants. Last week, protestors delivered a petition with over 250,000 electronic signatures to the company calling for a change.

Tim Cook has already commented on the situation, saying that Apple is doing more than any other company in the industry to improve the working conditions of the factories in its supply chains. And today, the CEO reiterated the point at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference…(...)

New JailbreakCon website now online

Last Summer marked the world’s first ever jailbreak convention, MyGreatFest. Taking place in London, UK, the conference allowed hackers, developers, and fans to hang out and talk about one of their common passions — jailbreaking.

With appearances from the Chronic Dev Team, Saurik and other notable speakers, the first conference was a resounding success. And now under its new name, JailbreakCon, the team is looking to build on that success with a USA-based event…(...)

SiriLoveLyrics: Ask Siri for lyrics to your favorite songs

Out of the box, Siri isn’t much a music fan. But throw a few jailbreak tweaks here way, and she starts to love music. In fact, this latest tweak apparently makes her love lyrics.

Indeed, SiriLovesLyrics is a jailbreak tweaks for Siri that involves music. It allows you to query Siri for the lyrics of the currently playing song in your Music app, and outputs them in a clean interface so that you can sing along to your favorite songs.(...)
