If you take blood thinning medications like Coumadin(R) or Warfarin (also known as Jantoven, Marfarin, Lawarin, Waran and Marevan), then this is an app you will truly make use of on a regular basis. Most lists providing information on the content of vitamin K (K1, K1D & K2) in foods generally contain only a limited number of foods, and often they don't indicate the serving size. It is important to understand that the goal isn't to not eat any foods with vitamin K, but rather to keep relatively constant the amount of vitamin K ingested each day so the amount of Coumadin(R) prescribed can work effectively. This can be different for every person using blood thinning medications, and this is why doctors require occasional blood tests as they indicate if the dosage needs to be adjusted.

All too often we hear that you should stay away from dark green leafy vegetables if you are using Coumadin(R), but there are a host of other foods containing vitamin K. Even the dark green leafy vegetables contain varying amounts of vitamin K. Further, each food has its own characteristics and sometimes whether it is fresh, frozen or canned can make a difference in the vitamin K content. The important thing to understand is you may be inadvertently ingesting something which you think doesn't contain any vitamin K when in fact it does. A good example would be carrots which contain varying amounts of vitamin K. A single baby carrot has only 0.9 mcg (very low) while a cup of canned carrot juice contains 36.6 mcg (high).

The Vitamin K app provides information about foods and how they are rated for Vitamin K content based on preparation and serving sizes. This is provided as a means to assist in deciding which foods to eat if you are using blood thinning medications such as Coumadin(R) or Warfarin. The foods are rated from EXTREMELY LOW to EXTREMELY HIGH in Vitamin K. The following colors help readily identify which is which:

* Black = Rated EXTREMELY HIGH in Vitamin K (700.0 - 1146.6 mcg)
* Dark Red = Rated VERY HIGH in Vitamin K (300.0 - 699.9 mcg)
* Red = Rated HIGH in Vitamin K (25.0 - 299.9 mcg)
* Orange = Rated MODERATELY HIGH in Vitamin K (20.0 - 24.9 mcg)
* Yellow = Rated MODERATE in Vitamin K (15.0 - 19.9 mcg)
* Yellow-Green = Rated MODERATELY LOW in Vitamin K (10.0 - 14.9 mcg)
* Green = Rated LOW in Vitamin K (5.0 - 9.0 mcg)
* Cyan = Rated VERY LOW in Vitamin K (0.1 - 4.9 mcg)
* White = Rated EXTREMELY LOW in Vitamin K (less than 0.1 mcg)

There are eight tables listing foods:

The process of completing a Life Inventory doesn't directly address addictions specifically, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory app gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. Originally published in softcover in 2007 by Words of Mercy, it succeeds as a poetic and inspirational narrative, joyously exploring the world that the autistic child inhabits. Catherine Cruze of Mount Carmel Guild Academy, a school known for providing a supportive learning environment for elementary school age children with severe behavioral and learning disabilities, was deeply moved by My Own World. ASD is defined by Wikipedia as, "The term 'autism spectrum' is often used to describe disorders that are currently classified as pervasive developmental disorders. Pervasive developmental disorders include autism, Asperger syndrome, Childhood disintegrative disorder, Rett syndrome and Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. These disorders are typically characterized by social deficits, communication difficulties, stereotyped or repetitive behaviors and interests, and/or cognitive delays. Although these diagnoses share some common features, individuals with these disorders are thought to be 'on the spectrum' because of differences in severity across these domains."

The book's enlightened approach, honest yet optimistic, is evident from its first page. "I'm in my own world / my mama will say / but it's a good place to be / at least for today." In perfect resonance with the narrative are the unusual illustrations of the book. There are none of the colorful, fanciful drawings, which have become identified with the genre of children's books. Instead, the illustrator has made a radical departure, using unretouched photographs instead of drawings. It is the framing, the context of the photo that makes it work so effectively as an illustration.

The first page is a large photo of a child's room, a child with an ASD, and the first person narrator is seated on the floor, a black silhouette. This literary/graphical device immediately captures the imagination of the reader regardless of age, gender, or developmental status, and is used throughout. Here, the unaltered copy of the objective world, the photo, is tantamount to the imaginative, stylized illustration that is the essence of children's literature. As perceived by the narrator, the enigmatic seated subject, his or her experience of the objective world is already of an imaginative wonderland - no artistic contribution is necessary.

Cartoons, drawings, and doodles do make an appearance In My World, but they are in an animated, vertically scrolling ribbon running along the left side of the screen. They are line drawings in white on a perfectly black background. They serve as a continual reminder that for each subject, each child with an ASD, there is a unique, imaginative flow of images and experiences as they are seated in their room, surrounded by the things in the world with which they are most familiar. And then on page two, the reader and narrator leave that room, and the adventure begins.

John Fletcher of the website Autism Inspiration commented, "In My Own World is an enchanting book that would be a wonderful gift for a family who is struggling with a child with an ASD. As you read the story, you realize that you are taking a mystical trip through the imaginary world of a child. Michelle Weisen is an English professor and was inspired to write this book for her friend's child with autism. Her friend had expressed concern that her son was in his own world. The pages are beautiful photographs that a child is sure to enjoy. My own son liked looking at and talking about the photographs. He especially liked the octopus!"

DEVONsphere Express changes the way one works with documents on the Mac. In addition, DEVONsphere Express is also a powerful tool for searching the Mac. It supports advanced Boolean operators, wildcards, ranges of characters, and parentheses to find anything the user has allowed it to index: from documents and email messages to contacts, bookmarks, images, songs, movies, programming code, and items in DEVONthink Pro databases (both currently open ones as well as ones indexed by Spotlight).

DEVONsphere Express runs as a menu extra showing all results in a menu-like pop-over window which can be also torn off and placed anywhere on the screen as a panel. A user-defined hot key makes it comfortable to quickly access DEVONsphere Express' pop-over from the keyboard, and easy-to-understand preferences allow to tailor it to the user's very needs.

With a simple Drag & Drop, AppDelete will uninstall anything along with all of the associated items. Mac users will no longer have to hunt through their system to find and delete these items manually.

You can drag any item that can be uninstalled onto AppDelete: Applications, Widgets, Preference Panes, Plugins, Screensavers, etc. You can also activate AppDelete in many ways: dragging items onto main window, onto dock icon, selecting in menu, right-clicking using AppDelete workflow, dragging from Launchpad, and throwing items in the trash. When the preview screen appears you can uncheck any items you would like to exclude.

You also have several choices: delete the items, log only the items, or archive (copy) the items to a .zip file for safekeeping or reinstall at a later date. The items you delete will be moved to the trash and arranged in a folder so that you can see exactly what was deleted and you know exactly where it came from. The items will not be removed from your computer until you empty them from your trash. You can also undo the last delete if you choose.

Version 3 has been rewritten and redesigned to take advantage of the latest technologies and to provide the best experience ever. Version 3.2.4 fixes an issue where Undo from folder might not work, fixes an issue where other volumes could affect trash monitoring, fixes a search field issue when changing views, along with other minor optimizations.

New in Version 3.2:
* Optimized for Lion (still backwards compatible with Snow Leopard/Leopard)
