If I could "downgrade" my system to whatever was previous to OS5 that would solve all my problems. Is that possible? I don't care about Suri.

OverDrive customer support says they are having lot of problems with iOS5 and don't know when or if they will be resolved. I used OveDrive for quite sometime before OS5 came out and never had any problems. Audiobooks are not going to the phone as books but rather as an audio playlist and then only a couple of parts of the books are there, the rest have to be manually moved by me within iTunes. Also on playback the different parts of the book are not flowing from one to another automatically. I will have to manually start the next part.

If you have a 4, you can use Dragon Dictation, a free app, to dictate texts. It's an extra step, but it works.

I have a Walmart about a mile from me and an Apple Store about 15 min from me and I still use Amazon for most things. I love Amazon. I'm a Prime Member. Delivery right to my home and I don't have to go out.

I would like to find a prepaid wifi hotspot that I could use with my iPhone
and iPad. Has anyone ever done this?

I have the unlimited iPhone data plan with AT&T and I don't want to change
it.

That plan should include wifi at Starbucks and McDonalds, perhaps others. Seems like AT&T has a list of where their hot spots are - don't Denver where I saw it.

Guess i didn't make myself clear. I am looking for a MiFi or something
simular that is portable. Several carriers carry such devices but I was
looking for personal experiences.

That is clearer, but I don't understand how you hope to use it either in conjunction with your unlimited cellular data plan or instead of it.

I don't want to mess with my unlimited plan on the iPhone just go get wifi
on my iPad. I found that Walmart carries a device that is on T-Mobile that
you can add time and data to when you need it.

Brent, I bought a mifi 2200 verizon hotspot off of ebay last fall
for times when I needed service on my wifi ipad. In Mid January,
I took about 10 days to write a book and needed internet service
for some of my research and such. When I prepaid for the internet
service at verizon, I was told that I was paying $50 USD for 5 gig
of service... but after I called verizon tech support for a non
functioning mifi 2200 I found out that the person at verizon did
not know what they were talking about. They did give me 5 gig for
$50 this time, but in the future, it will be 1 gig for $50... now
that I am done with my mifi card, I will be selling it, I would
like $50 and I will ship it to anyone in the USA. The service
works pretty well, but it is too costly for my blood. If I were
to put it on a contract, then it would be much cheaper... but this
was the first time that I needed the extra service in the 9 months
that I have had it.

replacing 3gs battery

Posted by: "4 Nikonkelly.com" kelly@nikonkelly.com   revkellytodd

Fri Jan 27, 2012 6:57 pm (PST)

I am seeing that my 3Gs phone battery is getting weak. I have
taken it to Apple and they told me that nothing was wrong about 1
month ago... and in March the phone will be out of warranty, So,
I could take it back again, and maybe get it replaced, however,
that would mean that I would have about 5 hours of syncing to set
it back up with nearly 300 apps on it. So, my question is, If I
went to eBay and bought a new battery there for it, would I have
any issues with replacing the battery myself or is it pretty
straight forward... I have been told by one shop that there are a
lot of wires that I would have to make sure that did not pop
out. but today's electronics seldom have many wires to speak of
so I thought his warning to be an attempt to get me to take it to
him and pay him for his service. Is this a hard job, has anyone
done it? I guess what I am asking is how hard of a job is this?
I dabble in electronics a bit, but am not a pro. what say ye?
Thank you,
Kelly Todd
