Tim Cook Calls Special Town Hall Meeting for Apple Employees Tomorrow

Hot on the heels of Apple’s blowout quarterly earnings report this afternoon, 9to5Mac is reporting that Tim Cook has sent an internal email out to Apple employees regarding the company’s success.

In the memo, Cook congratulates his team on a record-setting quarter and thanks them for all of their hard work on Apple’s new iBooks initiative. He also asks the employees to join him for a special meeting tomorrow at Apple’s Town Hall…(...)

With 85 Million Users, iCloud Plays Big Part in Apple’s Next 10 Years Strategy

Apple’s quarterly earnings call has certainly raised a few eyebrows this time around, with the company reporting huge sales, huge profits and just all around awesomeness. If you’re an Apple shareholder, then you’re probably very happy right about now.

Many interesting tidbits came out of the earnings call, but one that may not be getting that much attention is the news that there are now 85 million iCloud users, making it clear just why Apple needed that fancy new data center after all.

Apple Sells Record 1.4 Million Apple TVs Last Quarter

About an hour ago, Apple announced its biggest quarter in company history. Tim Cook’s team sold more iPhones and made more money than Apple ever has in a three month period.

Also on today’s list of Apple’s broken records is the amount of Apple TVs it sold during the holiday quarter. Apparently, the little $99 media box is a $100 million dollar product for the company…(...)

Earlier today we told you that iPhones made up over half of Verizon’s smartphone sales last quarter, making Apple the top smartphone manufacturer on one of the world’s largest wireless carriers.

Apple Stock Reaches Crazy New Time High in After-Hours Trading

Even though the stock was slightly down at the end of today trading session, it has now reached incredible new heights in after-hours trading.

AAPL is currently trading at about $450. That’s a $30 jump from the previous trading record. Of course, this is all fueled my Apple’s amazing financial results for last quarter. It’s good to be an Apple shareholder right now… (...)

Apple Smashes Expectations and Reports Record Financial Results for Last Quarter

After missing expectations during the third quarter last year, all eyes were on Apple in 2011′s Q4. Tim Cook and company made seemingly impossible projections for the three month period, and everyone has been watching to see if Apple could deliver.

GeoHot Quit His Job at Facebook, Now a Full-Time Hacker

Those of you who have been jailbreaking for a while will undoubtedly know George “GeoHot” Hotz, the guy who brought to us the very first iPhone unlock, back in 2008. Since then, GeoHot developed several jailbreaks, including purplera1n, blackra1n, and limera1n.

Then in 2011, GeoHot was sued by Sony for jailbreaking the PlayStation 3. The matter was quickly settled out of court, and GeoHot started working for Facebook shortly after.

Things are moving along for GeoHot though. According to Business Insider, he recently quit his position at Facebook. So what is he doing now?(...)
