The Dev Team has recently updated their renowned RedSn0w jailbreak tool to version 0.9.10b5 in order to fix the DRM issue for iBooks on jailbroken devices. This fix, which was developed by PlanetBeing and integrated into RedSn0w, overcomes the jailbreak detection by iBooks that would cause some images to not display properly, if at all…(...) Apple has spent an estimated $100 million dollars on its so-called “war on Android.” And so far it doesn’t have much to show for it. Even its recent ITC court victory over HTC doesn’t look like it will have much of an impact on anything. But that could all change thanks to a recent interpretation of Apple’s ’263 patent by a high-ranking US judge. The patent covers realtime API — a key component in Android that would be extremely difficult to work around if a manufacturer was found guilty of infringing on it…(...) Apple is still coming to terms with the loss of its charismatic co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, and probably will be for some time. While there is no doubting new CEO Tim Cook’s abilities to run a tight ship, he’ll possibly be the first to admit that there will only ever be one Steve Jobs. The company remembers Jobs throughout the halls of its 1 Infinite Loop campus, with photos of the man who saved Apple back in the 90s placed on the walls of Apple’s HQ. Quotes are also seen attached to corridor walls, with some of Jobs’ famous pearls of wisdom there to help motivate the Apple team even from beyond the grave. Now 9to5 Mac has been given photographs of some of the photos and quotes that can be found inside Apple’s offices, with at least one of them taking employees back to the days of the original Macintosh…(...)
