California based Code Line announces its plans to offer free updates for Art Files 2 and SneakPeek Pro to support Adobe Creative Suite CS6 when it's released. Both software products currently support multiple versions of Creative Suite including the current version CS5.5. Art Files is a collection utility for Adobe Illustrator documents and SneakPeek Pro allows users to quickly preview graphics files from within Apple's Quick Look. Both are available as free demos for Mac.

West Hills, California - Code Line announces its plans to offer free updates for Art Files 2 and SneakPeek Pro to support Adobe Creative Suite CS6 when it's released later this year. Both software products currently support multiple versions of Creative Suite including the current version CS5.5.

According to Code Line's blog, "... if you've been nervous about purchasing our software before CS6 comes out, you need not wait any longer. You'll be able to take advantage of our industry-standard software now for your current version of Adobe Creative Suite without having to upgrade again later this year."

Art Files is a "Collect for Output" utility for Adobe Illustrator documents that allows artists to quickly gather images and font files needed to send off or archive their artwork. It currently supports Illustrator documents from version 8 through CS5.1 (part of Creative Suite CS5.5).

SneakPeek Pro is a Quick Look plugin that allows designers to preview graphics files from multiple applications without needing design software installed. In addition to showing previews, it provides useful data like lists of fonts, images and swatches used within Illustrator and InDesign documents. It supports Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Freehand MX, EPS and Adobe Swatch Exchange files.

Cosmic Top is a virtual toy, a 3D interactive light and sound show governed by the physics of a spinning top that appears to float in space. The top's motion is synced to the playback of sci-fi sounds providing a unique audiovisual world for the player to explore. A set of 20 tops of varied shapes and sounds are randomly created at the touch of a button offering an endless array of possibilities.

In this update, the audio, physics, and graphics engines have all been improved upon leading to an overall higher quality and more varied simulation of a top.

The sound now includes both amplitude and frequency modulated sounds, harmonics, and echo effects. The spectral detail is enhanced for both the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

The tops can now illustrate the "funky" physics of having unique and unbalanced inertias that make normal spin motion unstable and cause the tops to repeatedly flip their axes. All tops also now have a distinct center of mass and therefore different frequencies of pendulum oscillation and top precession. Just for fun, we also added a rare, 1 out of a 100, chance for a top be be a Kovalevskaya top. Named in honor of the Russian female mathematician, these tops can form especially interesting patterns of motion and sound. They can be found by looking for a top that does not come to rest like most tops do when "gravity" is on.

There are new and brighter tops. The new tops are solid, sphere morphed shapes that can have surfaces of flowing color. The graphic detail is also enhanced for both the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
