AFAIK, and I have an AppleTV, it is not a document or file reader. It is for streaming capabilities. If you desire to view your MBP on your TV, I suggest an DVI to HDMI cable with audio capabilities.

I am putting in a call to Apple Support to see if there is a way round
this. Will post again when I resolve it. I also have an iPad 2 and Appke
have explained to me how to mirror the iPad and ATV.

sounds like a home network problem. Is your regular internet from att/verizon/comcast? if that is working time capsule is just and extension off that and a re-transmitter.

I finally got it to work somehow trying a dozen different things. I guess the
ethernet cable will always have to be plugged into the Time Capsule, but it does
do its work wirelessly backing up my MB Air. Thanks for your response.
