Why? That is a stupid remark to make to someone asking for help. As much
as I love the 4S, I prefer my Nexus and Thunderbolt (both Android devices
if you didn't know).

Security updates?

I have not upgraded from OS 10.6.8.
I no longer receive the monthly security updates via software updates. Is that why?

No, they are not monthly. They are only sent out as needed.

The 'Re:' is normally added by the email client used and not manually
entered by the user when replying to an existing thread. Not being on
my Mac at this point, I'm not sure how the thread in question is 'running'.
I don't post via the web interface, but I assume that it's the same way.
